I can see how you were going for a clean look, but my first impression was it needs more creative use of color to break things up a bit.

While not related to the LOOK of your site, I did want to point out that your Keyword Elite review mentions the program is by Matt Callen when it is actually by Brad Callen. That is knitpicking I know, but I would want to be told about it...

  That's something I noticed right away too... Keyword Elite is one of Brad's programs. Though it is a bit "nitpicky" I would definitely update it since the Callen's are pretty well known in the IM / SEO world many site visitors will pick up on this and your blog could lose some credibility over it.

I like the layout. Easy to read and not all cluttered. I have a similar layout in my 3 column blog. I am actually seeing a wide margin on the left in Firefox so I don't see that as an issue.

In my opinion, this theme look too white since the header is not attractive and using plain color. So, maybe you can make a small change at header.

Two comments:
I did not like the text all the way to the left of my screen. I would like some clear margin on the left.
I took you URL to World Wide Web Consortium - Web Standards THE place to go for web answers. In the left column I used the HTML VALIDATOR and found 32 errors on you site.

That said, I am one who likes simple sites and did not mind all the white. Black on white it easy to read.

Another look and I am not sure I like the two columns on the right. Maybe there is too much information there. If you ask, "what is my most wanted response" on this page, is all of that right column info needed?

My first visual impression . . . too pale . . . didn't invite me to read the content. I'm sure you are going for a clean look, however the page still needs to invite viewers to read. Needs to create a degree of excitement.

  My opinion: Avoid it completely ... especially if it plays automatically.
  
  Nothing makes me reach for the little "x" to close a browser window faster than some autoplaying cheesy music file.
  
  It scares the crap out of people when they aren't expecting it and if you pick a form of music that someone doesn't like, you've got two strikes right there.
  
  There is an audio file on one of my company sites but it doesn't autoplay. Visitors can click play to listen to the audio or just skip it entirely.

  I agree especially since I am often listening to an audio book or music when surfing, nothing I hate worse than someone's ill conceived notion of good "music" ruining my concentration.

Too much white .. Nothing to countereact the sections of the site (meaning no color, just pure white as a newspaper would be)

Too far to the left side, the text is at the very border of the left side and should have atleast 15px of room there.

Get a FREE ebook about list building for subscribing! - Should show the eBook .. I would alos use digital report or something and not the word eBook..

Add some color to your links to break them away from the text of the site.

I have done a couple touch ups, so what do you all think? Also, i wrote a new post. I added a affiliate link at the end so I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is in a good spot or where would be a better place for it.

To be honest, it looks pretty bland.

And compared to a lot of the IM blogs I read (ex. johnchow.com, doshdosh.com), it looks very amateurish.

For the links..I would use the standard click-me-blue color #000FF. But only if you want your links to be clicked on

Maybe it's just me, since no one else has mentioned it - I think I would also like to capture, at least, my subscriber's first name along with their email address. It will make it easier to address them personally in emails at a later date.

The site needs more color in the header.

Yes i want to get their names too but I am using feedburner so I cant. I don't have money to pay for an autoresponder.
