Marketing strategy: Nested content in company sites vs independent sites
Here's the problem:
I have one company website selling language courses. I intend to create a free online resource to help people with their studies. Would it be better to nest the resource in my company's main site, or create a separate site for the resource given that i've noticed independent sites with learning aids get a lot more links than those nested in company sites. I.e. Is it better to have 100 links going to a independent site or 10 links going to the company site?
