Hi all,
My first site was up 2 weeks ago.
I'm very satisfied with my traffic and google ranking progress but little worried about the selling results...
could you guys check my pre-selling story and give me some useful tips?
the link to my site attached to my signature.
Thanks!
I'm really appreciate it.

Congratulations on your first site. I've checked your site and it's very simple to navigate and read. Do you own the product you're selling or you sell that as an affiliate?

I suggest to put an opt-in form to build list, because you don't want to just rely on the traffic that you get to make money, the real money is in your list.

    Looks clean!

Need an pt-in ox and maybe make your RRS feed a little more visible. Maybe consider a premium theme a little further down the road. There are many nice free ones around. It'l make it look a bit more professional and convincing!

Definitely go for a good theme and get rid of the default. Quite frankly, it is ugly. A theme like iNove would be good for your chosen niche, just a thought.

The copy needs to be thoroughly checked for spelling errors and grammar. Many i's are not capitalized and the phrasing is bad in many places. This will directly effect your sales and you need to convey to your visitors that you at least took the time to write out your content legibly and can use a spell checker.

        Just a few tips:

Make sure each letter beginning a new sentence is capitalized.

Need to change the question under your header to "Why did I choose..."

Go back and check then re-check all of the copy for spelling errors and correct them. If your browser does not have spell check integrated then copy and paste all of your copy into a program like Microsoft Word or Open Office.

Not an awful first attempt but you have to make sure to get a professional look because just ONE misspelled word or un-capitalized letter can have your visitors leaving the site in a flash.

Congrats on your first site, I would advise doing a quick Google search for some good free premium themes to spice things up a bit.

    Hey!

Congratulations on getting your site online!

As others have said, take some time and try to find a better theme than the standard theme. For me personally, the standard theme just represents that the site owner didn't really care about their site.

One thing that strikes me is that your site pretty much follows the Google Sniper-formula. Did you model your site after George's examples? (Using standard wp theme, having a profile pic at the right, writing 2-3 posts promoting your aff. product etc.)

One thing you can do is to create a 3-10 page pdf/doc report that is a little more in depth than your blog posts (reviews other products etc, more info etc). Offer it for free in exchange for someone opting in to your email list.

Congrats mate, always a big moment putting up that first site.

But yes I would like to agree with someone above ... the default wordpress theme is a massive turnoff. I personally would close the site off immediately after seeing that template ... kind of tells me that not enough effort has gone in.

Keep it clean though and do everything you can to build trust on the site

Still very early days. Check your analytics regularly. If you get traffic and still no sales then start to make changes.

Congratulations for your first site, now you need an opt-in box to capture your visitors' emails and stay in touch with them, and you also need a professional theme

Get a good opt in box there, and change the theme, you will be really really there on your way to online success. Also - Check your spelling your 15 july post says evantually instead of eventually.

    Hello,
Congratulation, nice work. Some of the thing that I suggests is ' organize it more and give it more information and such. It just looks like a ton of thing squeeze into a page. I haven't actually read it much. Also adds graphic and better website layout. This current one is too bland, layout is very important to give people the feeling of trust and such. Best of luck@

I think you are off to a great start! It is huge fun to play around with different WordPress themes (yes, I also think you should change it!). And just remember - Rome wasn't built in a day,so it can take some time for things to start really heating up. Congrats!

Congrats mate! I would suggest you consider static sites if you want to create and manage more sites in future. I started out with half a dozen blogs a few months back and find it difficult to update them now.

Static sites - which don't mention the date of posting don't look stale if you don't update them for a few months. You may consider using the White House Pagelines theme - it is free and looks elegant.

Congrats on your first site now you're onto doing some SEO and marketing works Sounds fun!

Some ideas are using craiglist forums, SEO such as SEO Link Vine or maybe engaging services on WF, Blog commenting, Forum posting ect.

Get some .edu links and high pr links

There are many more methods; just some ideas to help you get thinking on your feet. Also did you do your keyword research?

Someone may have mentioned it already but your affiliate links are php redirects, what I'd suggest using is pretty links, you can install this through wordpress and instead of having to redirect the user to a php file and then onto the website the plugin creates a virtual redirect (such as yoursite.com/goto/awesome-product).

    huge time saver
