What to do in IM with $1500

Hi guys,

I have about €1000 set aside for something (which is about $1500) and I'm thinking of using that to get started on something in IM.

I've done a little bit in IM already but my main work is building websites and designs, still relatively new to the other more promotional aspects that can make money on their own.

So.....the question I have is:

Q: What would you do with $1500 to get started in IM?
Q: What would be a reasonable target? ie: use $1500 to make $3000.

Would I be looking at PPC and CPA offers?

Any ideas would be helpful. I know most threads are about ggetting started on a shoestring but I was thinking a little bit of capital might get things going more quickly. I also know that $1500 can dissappear very quickly with nothing to show for it.

Looking forward to your replies,
Martin

    oh there are so many...

But my main idea will be:

Develop a software ( find a developer on freelancers sites), then promote it.

This may not be the answer that you're looking for but I wouldn't spend that much money, especially not until I had more experience.

hey...unless u already know the PPC and CPA game well, DON't use ur 1500 on it. If you'd ask me,do what has been proven to work aka niche marketing.

Find a niche, promote the top selling products in that niche, build a list and ultimately, get your own product developed. That should be around 1500 depending on what kind of product u are creating.

    Thanks guys.

Well, I wasn't on blowing 1500 in 1 go on something, just wonderiing what incremental things people might use it on to get things up and running more quickly. I'd be well in favour of spending money v's spending time if it meant I could speed up the development of whatever I am doing and allow me to concentrate on other IM tasks. ie: getting paid, targeted traffic instead of trying for months to get up the google rankings.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to spend money and avoid the work that needs to be done, just to use it as leverage.

I Was going to suggest the War Room first as usual; then my reading skills kicked in, and I noticed "HEY, He's already in". I would suggest Flipping Sites, for the pure reason that if you purchase one for $1500, then you can probably get $3000 for it with a good flip. There's more risk with PPC because you don't know how it will convert. Here's a condensed version of How I would do a flip.

    1. Buy a site/forum on a Webmaster Forum (I google them all up), for $1500. I would spend a few days, looking and pricing different options
    2. Hold in for a couple months.
    3. Then sell it for double on Flippa.

Dependent on the market, you can make more then double, I've sold sites for triple, or 4 times what I paid for them. Flipping sites can be profitable enterprise.

As well, CPA And PPC, and Affiliate, with PPC, can also be profitable. I'm not doing that right now, but it is a viable option. I would ask another warrior to step forward and explain that.

Start by spending $500 or so getting a killer "introductory product" made for you.

Then produce a free report based on the whole product, which summarizes the WHAT but not the HOW.

Then give this away in exchange for peoples' email addresses.

Then follow up by email and offer them the whole product.

I wouldn't spend a dime except on the War Room membership until I already have a clear vision of what I'd like to do and then spend some of that on info regarding that plan.

Otherwise, it's just like throwing spaghetti at a wall and seeing if it sticks ... only this time, it's money instead of spaghetti.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

I think thats some good advice sbuccariel.

I might check out some stuff on flippa but otherwise, just keep doing what I'm doing.

    Thanks.

If you created the two blogs that are in your signature, it would seem that you already have a head start on creating a viable web business. If you are trying to expand on that business, then you want to get your website ranked high so you can sell more of your creative niche sites? I am ass-uming this is is.

Then you want all your traffic going to your sales pages, you can use Senuke or one of the all-in-one traffic systems available from the Warrior Forum. I think a lot of new and "old" netrepreneurs are looking for a "ready made business Model" and you seem to have the expertise to provide that with your niche blogs. You just have to expand on what you already do and let the world know about it.

You might want to start a membership site. I just reviewed Mao's site launcher for websites and asked him when he would include blogs. Perhaps you guys can start a joint venture. Done for you business models is the way to go in this "instant gratification" mindset that busy people need so they can hit the ground running.

Thats some good advice Richnana. I was planning on upscaling what I do at the moment with the blogs I have been selling but it's a slow process at the moment as I already have another full time career.

I'll have a look at Mao's site launcher and see what it's like as I'm not familiar with that product. I know there is a huge market for high quality ready to go blogs, it's just a matter of getting ranked and keeping the quality high.

I have $250 worth of free adwords vouchers....are those any use to me for CPA promotions or is that amount too small to do anything meaningful?

You can make a page promoting a very powerful affiliate product and you can get at least 250 visitors with 250$ , and if the conversion rate is only 1% you will make like 3 sales. But I think you will have a better conversion rate... like 4-5%

Step 1: Put $1470 into your bank account
Step 2: Spend $30 to get a War Room membership
Step 3: Spend 1-2 weeks reading, digesting, asking, learning in this War Room and the main forum
Step 4: Decide on one money making model and the costs required
Step 5: Spend $1470 wisely on the model

    I'd say invest in a website - that's Internet's real estate.

Pick a niche, invest in article creation, link building and take it to the top.

    It's achievable with that budget.

    My advice: outsource, outsource, outsource.

You might try flippa.com and look for a site that you can buy that's getting actual targeted search traffic for a niche you think you can monetize.

Or go my route and just start buying profitable domains yourself. But it won't take $1500. Maybe $200 to get going with 10 domain names, hosting and what not. But this works for my niche.
