Search Engine Competitors Took Me Out?

Hey all!
I am wondering whether this have ever happened to you... :rolleyes: Basically I've found this little niche which isn't very competitive (less than 400k competing pages) and it has decent amount of searches and it seems that people were willing to buy.

I've set up wordpress blog and in about 24 hours I got ranked for few search terms on the 1st page on Google.
Before the blog got ranked I've submitted few articles into different article directories (on of them was goarticles) and one of my articles(the one that was submitted to goarticles.com) got ranked and was on the first page.
I was happy, but something strange happens... after few hours my article is gone and the same article (which was written by me) with different links is ranking on the search engines, but my article was gone I thought "alright, scarcity mindset - lets keep moving" and finally my blog was ranking.

To make long story short - my blog is gone as well. WTF! I know this stuff happens to people who love to do "copy/paste", but my content was unique...

Any comments?

    That is scary. I've never heard of that. What do you mean your blog ranking was gone? Where did it go??

    I'd be curious to see if anyone has an idea to what happened.

      Don't know. it is scary. I was 5th or 6th on the first page of Google and then something went wrong - i was gone.

      you know the thing with site:www.youdomain.com? It was working, but i didn't anymore. :confused:

    The next time you write an article, use something specific, a phrase specific to YOUR article and set up a 'Google Alert' for that phrase.

    You got a Google account? if you have a gmail acct you also have a Google acct... hunt in there for Google Alerts

    When someone steals your stuff you've got to catch em.

    There's plenty of a** holes in this business... Most Warriors are above theft, but there ARE 30,000 Warriors... not all 30k are going to have such high moral standards
