I've got it.. Mobile money came out! Now please mix it up

This post is kind of a frustration, at how many times I keep getting the same e-mail.

In the last week I have gotten about 40 e-mails about that new Mobile Money stuff, from probably 20-30 lists that I am subscribed to. Ok, it's cool that you all want to let me know, but here's the issue....

You use the same title, and text that everybody else does.... I get your using the template they provide, but honestly, why do I want to open 3 e-mails from 3 different people, with the same title, and text.

So if your going to e-mail me about everything that everyone else is e-mailing me, mix it up, and talk about yourself, and how YOU actually used it, instead of just telling me about it, and using the main template.

If I was going to buy a product from an e-mail, I would buy the product, that the e-mailer actually used, and gave a unique e-mail. I'm not going to click on the e-mail that 5 other people sent me.

    Caleb,
I agree, and I'll just add to your suggestions, for the affiliates reading this.

    U.S.P.

It's not a 'big secret' that the affiliate wars on the big product launches come down to the battle of the bonuses.

The bonus YOU (affiliate) are giving is YOUR USP

Give me THAT, and I'll open the email.

  • I always think it's absolutely crucial to write your own emails and really try and connect with your list. I never use the copy and paste ones. But, it's amazing how many marketers, particularly big time ones, just don't do this. I guess once you're beyond a certain list size, or a certain level of establishment, you don't worry about the little things so much, but I see that aspect of marketing changing.

I haven't promoted the Mobile Monopoly launch, partly because I've seen many of the affiliates promoting, all with access to the creator and exclusive bonuses that they've created, and I know there's no way of competing with them. But, if I was to go after a big launch then I agree with Dani and both original emails, as well as a suitable unique bonus, would be the way to go.
