Want To Create Better Sales Process - Any Advice?

I have an ebook/audio/video/forms package that I am selling.

My current funnel is articles > blog > sales letter.

After much testing, I notice a large majority of visitors are getting to the sales letter and merely want the forms only.

So I have decided to offer only the forms for something like ten bucks (and later market the package once they are further in the funnel).

My issue is how do I first get them to read the sales letter and if they exit the page, offer them just the forms package? I do not really like the idea of exit script going to a OTO, but I don't know if there is any other way.

My other option is a link on the sales site that says something like FORMS ONLY OPTION which may just reduce the package sales and confuse the visitor.

Any thoughts? Much appreciated.

  • John, why don't you test what you just suggested?

Change your main sales page to offer the forms. Use the video, audio and ebook as an upsell.

Whatever you choose, don't do the FORMS ONLY OPTION link on the sales page. Using optionality on a sales page is normally a mistake. People often use their third option (don't buy either) when faced with an additional choice.

Hmmmm...that's brilliant. Never thought of that. Thanks! Will start the sales page for that.

I can actually position the forms against the competition (staples or office supply places) much easier than positioning the package against 20 different things.

I agree on the second point you made. I tested giving people options before and it was ok at first, then I realized it was just too much work for too little reward.

      Thanks again, Thom

I have no agenda but to help those in the same situation. This I feel will pay the bills.
