Newbie needs start point

I want to get into Internet Marketing. But I really don't know where I am to start.

I have heard that gathering a tonne of information is a good start (but not too much for an information overload). Could any of you guys recommend any good IM information products or guides that can teach me the ways of the jed....starting out with IM?

I don't mind having to pay a little to get some good starting information.

Also any ideas on how I could begin getting some experience?

Thanks for the help

Hayden

    Hayden,

If you're not already a member of the War Room, save yourself the money you would otherwise spend on other products and join the War Room now. Then download a few of the products which War Room members are giving away for free only to other War Room members. These are products that they are either charging for on their own site or selling as WSOs.

Very, very good info in them.

Some members might say that the War Room could be too overwhelming for someone new to the game, and it's true to a certain extent -- but only if you let it. The War Room could be your best investment ever in your internet marketing career.

    Best,
    Kenneth

    -Pick a niche
    -Buy a domain
    -Launch a blog
-Consistently add original quality content to it
-Ad an opt-in to it for a free report
    -Sell to your list

Of course, each of these is a discussion in itself, but that is s basic outline.

Great first step you have come to the right place. I am newer to the IM scene as well but through this forum have learned many valuable things...all for free. Some pointers
    1. FOCUS --There are many ways to make money online and in IM. PICK 1-3 areas and FOCUS. It will save you alot of $$.
    2. Resist the "New" syndrome -- The newest software or Marketing tactic will not make you millions by simply purchasing it. This seems logical but, it is an easy trap to fall into. Seek out free info on this forum first!
    3. Set your goals -- Write them down. Print them out. Post them. Achieve them.
    4. Get a mentor -- Find someone in your area(s) of IM and read every post of theirs. Message them and ask them questions (if they don't mind . Follow in the footsteps of legends!
    5. Never quit -- This is a marathon...don't try sprinting. Be consistent with activity. Do what your mentor tells you.
    6. Stay Involved -- The internet is always changing stay involved in this community and give back!

    Hope this helps

A lot of newbies get started with the 30-Day Challenge. Membership to the War Room is also valuable.

Really depends on what you want to do. Niche blogging, CPA, site flipping, offering services, Adsense, Adwords, creating your own product .... there's so many different ways to make money, you need to find out what you'd like to focus on first.

You said you don't know where to start, but the truth is you have already started. I wish that I had come here when I was "new" to the internet. I have made more money in time I have been here than when I wasn't combined.

All you do is keep reading, there will be topics that catch your eye and imagination. When it happens you search for more posts about the area you are considering.

When the time does come for you to spend money on a course or instruction, get more than one that covers the same topic. This is one way that you will know that the area can potentially make you some money, i.e. people are taking the time to teach about it. And if people are teaching about it there has to be a certain amount of demand.

And also know that while you are reading (war room) you may even encounter an idea that you can modify slightly and become a gazillionaire overnight like some people do.

God help you as you go though.

Try and find some opt in ebooks and join a couple. Also, another thing would be to go to resell-rights-weekly.com and plrwholesaler.com. (both free) Instead of selling the products, download and read all the stuff you can get your hands on. This also stops you from buying stuff you could get for free.

In my opinion you have to test a few things in order to see what fits you most. My experience showed me that with some 20-30$ you can try a lot of stuff and see what goes well.
Try Basic SEO, Clickbank products, youtube marketing, facebook marketing, SEO + CPA, classfieds. The only thing important here is this: Try, don't just read about stuff. One day experience = 100 days of theory

Only if you fail, you will know what not to do next time.

Im also new to the IM industry and I agree with Nicheman. FOCUS is the key in this business. It is very easy to become overloaded with the next "new" product. Find out what method you will you use and TEST it. If it works then Rinse and Repeat my friend.
