Google Wave: No one being fired?

Here's something most of probably don't think about much - with Google Wave being shut down, what happens to all the people who were working on the project?

Well as it turns out, they've still got a job, it seems:

    Google is pretty inventive, I am sure their skills will be put to use in one way or another.

    It was very strange, even though a big project was shutting down, their online ads for job opportunities didn't disappear. They kept employing people regularly.
