Help: Want to Learn how to Design/Create Minisite Graphics?

Hello everyone.

I am wondering if there is a certain website, tutorial or book/eBook which is dedicated to teaching people how to create minisite graphics for things such as digital products, eBook graphics, Squeeze page graphics, sales page graphics e.t.c

Perhaps there is a video tutorial package or something on offer some where that I don't know of.

I am looking for something that will teach you in Photoshop and go from the basics to expert level.

Thanks

Hey, I'm new here and I'm a Graphic and Web Designer by nature (but I'm looking to learn marketing and online entrapaneurship).

My name is Magik, if you need any help like this, please get in touch. But as you've started a thread I'll tell you some basic information.

    OK:

Every MiniSite I've seen thus far which is aimed to be sold at the Internet Marketing bunch usually has only TWO formats.

The first is a simple table design with a Background Color or Image + A Header Graphic + A Content Background Graphic (this will be the white space your Sales Copy goes into) and a Footer Graphic.

The second, and the better design, is coded in XHTML/CSS and is tableless and consists of a Repeated Header Background Image which creates the background at the top of the page, Plus the same kind of thing for the bottom of the page, then its overlayed with the Header, Content and Footer graphics.

If you know ANY xhtml/css at all then the best way to learn is simply by doing a search for "Minisite Design" and then looking at the source code of their example pages.

If you don't know anything about xhtml/css do a search for "Simple Tableless xhtml/css tutorial" - maybe throw in the words "MiniSite" their aswell.

    --------

I'm assuming you know how to use Photoshop.

What I normally do is create a rounded rectangle in the middle of the screen, fill it white and give it a "stroke" (border) of whatever color matches my design.

I then use the line tool to deligate space for the header and footer.

Then I create the header and footer.

After than I slice up the page and fit the parts into my template.

Because making MiniSites is so simple once you've mastered it, you can litteraly have a ONE TEMPLATE FITS ALL style and just edit the variables when it suits you. (such as height and width).

    -------------

When it comes to creating eCovers I reccomend getting eCoverPRO. There are several eCover action scripts available online, I purchased most of them, and eCoverPRO is the only one I've been 100% satisfied with, it's never given me any trouble, not once.

If you need anything else I'll be about.

I hope you find the knowledge your looking for.

    Yours,
    Magik.
