I saw many people's having this problem. And many of them fail because of this.

If you can't focus when you do something very important, most probably you will fail, or you will make that task very bad.

You must 3-4 hours per day to forget all: your friends, WF forum, your girlfriend, your dog...etc

And concentrate just on what you do!

I think everybody have some reasons for NO Focus!

My is: I don't focus sometimes because of my friends!

So, tell me your reasons! Why you don't Focus?
#focus #why you don't focus

Sounds like you've been reading too many get rich quick sites. It takes more than 1-2 hours a day. Unless you are in this as a hobby (and many are), you must treat this like a real job.

Focusing is only part of it. The guy flipping cheeseburgers at McDonalds has to focus or he will burn them.

Distractions are one of the big pitfalls of working from home for yourself. You just need to get yourself into the mindset that if you stop working every 10 minutes to find a song, watch a YouTube video or whatever, that is like having a "real job" where you walk out the front door 50 times a day to take a quick break. You would be fired for not being productive there, so don't be surprised if you don't get anything done at home with the same behavior.

The absence of a superior keeping you on task is probably the main reason why most people can't work for themselves.

I stay like 5-6 hours per day in front of my PC , managing my tasks. 1-2 hours to make your plan of the day, so you need to be extremely focus...

Another tip and I had to learn this the hard way in my retail management job, plan your day out ahead of time. Otherwise you'll waste an hour figuring out what you should have been doing that hour.

I treat it as any other job really, just with extended hours that lead into early hours of the morning. Why not, I do not have some whining boss breathing down my neck every five minutes. Matt has a good point, plan your days out, maybe this is a little much but before I shut down for the night, I run my scheduler for the following day, so as the day passes my computers alert me of tasks to be done.

I'm just neurotic like this, but even if I know there really are only two important major tasks I've got to accomplish the next day, I literally break down all the steps. This helps me really see all the moving parts I need to do in order to a) get it done and b) get it done on time and successfully.

I think 2 hours a day is a good amount for people who are full time employed already. You can do 2 hours a day and treat it like a business - infact a limit of 2 hours a day forces you to really focus and as a full timer you have cash to use for outsourcing, and you are not worrying about meeting the bills each month (and therefore selling your time to make instant money, selling $3 articles and suchlike - yuk!)

Sure, there is a lot of macho stuff I've seen about how many hours can you do, and I've seen stuff about if you really want success then don't sleep, keep working.

Of course if you don't sleep for days you will actually start hallucinating, get sick, do poor quality work, but their idea is never mind all that  Think Macho!

My plan is 2 hours a day - until I get the confidence that if I did spend 8 hours a day I could make a full time living. That confidence will come from receiving sufficient cheques and cash deposits in my bank account

Very true, indeed. You can have good results if you work and give your best in 2-3 hours. Are so many possibilites. But you need to fix your goal... if you want to meet that gool you realy need to focus!

The Internet is the hardest place to focus in the world. It takes discipline, especially with IM. There is soo much information out there. I recommend writing down exactly what you want to do and then reward yourself for success and punish yourself for ADD.
