A question for Wordpress experts

Specifically about v3.0, with the MU platform
With the ability to set up network,
However it seems that all sites should be on the same domain
Are multiple installation of the MU allowed?
I have heard that the SEs are not too fond of multiple sites on the same domain?

Comments appreciated

thank you

You can put multiple websites on the same domain, although I would not recommend it. Your website needs to be 1 niche based, setting up more than 1 platform would cause problems with SERPS and also visitor confusion.

That's the first step. See below.

Who would stop you from doing it on your own domain.
(side note: there is no more WP MU - it WP 3.x.x with MS = multisite feature)

You can create multiple sites on
    a) subfolders
    b) subdomains - subdomains, usually, are treated by SEs as separate sites.

Furthermore, you can use the domain mapping plugin to set up your sites all on separate domains and still manageable from your SuperAdmin panel.

This last option is the same as you can have a free blog at wordpress.COM and mapped to your domain.

Return to say thanks to Istvan
I'm not certain about this but I think I only noticed one master admin panel despite having multiple installations.
Any more details on that plugin you mentioned?

      thanks

Hi I have a question for wordpress experts on a technique I saw on affiliate code

    It was a traffic generation in module 6 which I thought was extremely good and I have a question on it ;

Say I have a blogger that ends in blogspot.com

    eg Teez.blogspot.com

and then custom domain it to teez.com via blogger

Then would I be right in thinking I can still use the traffic generation techniques in module 6 of the clickbank code where M.Jones uses ''wp Mu's'' to drive traffic to his blogger page.

Cos I understand he says don't ever do it for a .com but if its technically a blog which I just custom domained into a .com is that alright?

Or should I use the traffic generation whilst its still has the ''.blogspot.com'' and then after a couple of days when Im done building the site then customdomain it from teez.blogspot.com to teez.com

    Thanks guys
