Checking Out Indian Company Registration

How can I check an Indian companies registration dates etc..?

In the UK I always check companies house before I work with a compny, but I have no idea what the Indian equivalent is. Anyone know?

    Holla,

    I have outsourced many of my projects to few Indian Guys & Small Enterprises. When I asked them about their Legal Registration, most of them showed me their details on a certificate of Incorporation.

    These Guys call this as Incorporation Certificate & Its a proof of Incorporation & one more Service Tax Registration Certificate is there, which makes them liable to pay taxes to the Government.

      Good idead, but I am really looking for a report from a third party. I would not know a genuine certificate from one they made themselves.
