WMV Video Files - Audio Not Working on Mac? Help!!

This is very annoying, when you're feeling in a very productive mood, so you download some video tutorials to help learn how to use Photoshop and you can't listen to them because the audio doesn't work.

So this is what I have tried:

Quicktime - using Flip4Mac
Easy WMV - However have to pay for it, so no.
VLC Player - doesn't work with the files.

The videos are all in WMV and I am on an iMac which I bought brand new in January.

Need help desperately with getting them to work with audio.

Thanks in advance

Quicktime needs a plugin to play it according to Microsoft's site:

Windows Media® Components for QuickTime has been highly optimized for Power Mac G4 and G5 and Intel computers and supports playback of high-definition Windows Media video files
Source: Windows Media® Components for QuickTime

But, I think that might be the flip4mac.

Are you on the latest version of VLC? I usually can play WMV fine.

WMV is an evil format. One thing you might try, and I'm not sure if this is in violation of any copyright, but try uploading them to a private YouTube or Vimeo channel.

I've yet to find an answer to this one myself.
