Opinions on Amazon search box or google for that matter?

Hello all,

I'm just looking for some opinions on making a bit of extra money from search boxes on my website.

The website I have a the minute is getting about 45 unique vistiors every day, the average user stays 7 minutes before leaving, according to my statistics.

Seeing as they are leaving anyway, would it be a good idea to add a search box on my website to try and make a bit of money out of them?

I don't know quite how they work but I thought someone here might have done a bit of testing before and could offer some advice.

      Thanks, but I was hoping for someone on here that had first hand experience might just give me their thoughts on each of them.

      I have edited my theme on wordpress and replaced the wordpress search with google, will do a bit of testing over the next week or so and see if it impacts my adsense revenue.

      I don't really think it would be practical to have an amazon search box right beside google but it might work.
