Article Marketing Questions

Hi there,

As I am just starting out, I was looking for some feedback on article marketing.

I understand the benefits in terms of backlinks etc, but what about from making money ?

I see a number of people claim they do well with ezinearticles, but I do know form the company I was an intern at, that the article sites sucked in giving them a quality leads to sales ratio when their ppc ads were on the sites.

So is it best to focus on lead capture and link building with article marketing ?

I have plenty of time to work, but I want to use that time as productively as possible.

    The key is to find keywords that the article directories rank in the top 10 results of the search engines-mainly Google. You will than get the traffic to your article from being next to the articles that show up in the top 10, assuming you choose the same category. It also depands on the traffic that particular niche is getting.

    I would encourage you to focus more on PPC and getting as many targeted leads into an opt in form on your website.

    Article marketing has not guaranteed for you in terms of making you sales and getting your lots of traffic so I would not spend the majority of your time to do this.

      I am a student, so don't have money for ppc, what I have is plenty of time, so I am looking at the best way to use it.

    Article marketing always work to build backlinks. However, in order to generate traffic (and sales) it has to be a good article. It has to provide valuable information and compel people to read the full article and click the link. Here is where a lot of people fail.

    Article marketing will help you get traffic from Google searches. PPC ads are qualified leads that will give you faster results.

    A good illustration of this is CreditCards.com, which filed to go public a couple of years ago, but chose to remain private. They paid $2.7m for the domain name because it makes it easier to get free Google traffic, but that still accounts for only 40% of their visitors. The majority comes from PPC ads.

      I continue to be a skeptic on the article marketing front although I know many people claim to have great success with it. From my own experiences, I've had very little experience doing it.

      I've been able to get two sites on the front page of google for very competitive keywords and neither had anything to do with articles on article directories. I did however utilize some guest posts on other blogs to help get backlinks.

        I've been using article marketing for years; it's my preferred form of marketing, and I've done very well with it.

        If you're just starting out, here are some tips to help.

        Firstly remember that article marketing is just one form of marketing. Many marketers put the cart before the horse. Therefore, don't think "Oh, I'll do some article marketing". This is a total waste of time.

        The process for real success is:

        1. Find a ravenous market

        2. Work out what satisfies that market -- what would feed them?

        3. Then find a product which satisfies which has an affiliate program

        4. Join the product's affiliate program

        5. Create a marketing plan

        6. If article marketing is part of the plan, create another plan for article marketing.

        Your article marketing plan, should you decide to promote using article marketing, could include:

        * Offering bonuses to buyers who buy via your link

        * Creating a freebie product to give away so you can create a list

        Article marketing works.

        But... you must do the groundwork first.

        If you just jump into it, you may get some results -- beginner's luck.

        For real success, you've go to plan. The planning isn't difficult, and it will ensure your success with article marketing.

    Article marketing will help you get traffic from Google searches. PPC ads are qualified leads that will give you faster results.On the other side back links are good method to market and promote your products.I think you can get success in both ways.
