A Loaded Gun.....Plan Your Shot Carefully!

I just wanted to throw this out there for anyone new who has
not placed a WSO or Classified yet.

Once your thread is approved it's like Allen handed you a Loaded Gun.
Don't necessarily rush to pay and post it.

Make sure to select the Right Time to pull the trigger and pay for the thread because it posts within minutes of paying.

...take some time to watch the when the forum is most active through out the day and week that's when you want to fire...giving you the most exposure and BANG!

Any other tips are welcome!

    Good point Sean...Ii recently popped one on a Friday night to test it out and only received minimal exposure over the weekend with no sales. The ad before that began on a Sunday night and made most of the sales within the next 3 days.

    Pretty sure anyone who's ever posted an ad here/or anywhere else (even ebay) knows the importance of time placement.

    I was thinking about this the other day though for WF in particular, and there's definitely pros AND cons of posting during primetime and slowtime.

    Everyone posts their ads during the busiest hours, and the benefits of having extra traffic during time of postage is outweighed by how quickly the thread gets pushed down. The cake is bigger, but you get a smaller slice

    If you post during slowtime, you'll be at the top for longer with less overall traffic. The cake is smaller, but you get a bigger slice.

    Somewhere in the middle if the most effective time to post. Maybe hitting the last of the big hitting traffic, then staying a lot longer for trailing traffic when less people are on the site.


    It's quite fun to test different times though.

    It also depends on if your offer works in different countries. There are times where the busier time starts slowing down and picks back up for UK traffic and the majority of the people bumping don't do it when it's time for the UK rush.

    This thread was created in 2010 and it worked much better 4 years ago.

    Most WSO sales come from affiliates now.

    It is much more important to do good presales work and build up a presales list and get some affiliates and JVs for a successful WSO than it was 4 years ago.

    Look for more recent threads on launching WSOs for better information.

    Also keep in mind there's a large number of people in the WSO section who are sent here directly from affiliates, so they don't even see the main thread. There has been research about the best times, but even that is sketchy at best.
