Using a squeeze page instead of awber custom form? How??

Ok,

Figuring someone must know the answer to this on here!

I've got a squeeze plate template that I want to use instead of Awebers custom ones.

I'm just using "name" and "email address". I was going to go into Nvu and I thought aweber would give bits so I could click on the boxes and say where it went to (I'm sure thats what used to happen).

I'm just really confused at how I link the list to the squeeze page!

I've searched the forum and found http://build-selfconfidence.com/jing...ics-aweber.swf which helps a bit but the only place I can see an aweber list or name on the template looks completely different:

"<script type="text/javascript" src="http://forms.aweber.com/form/98/2095192698.js"></script>"
I'm not sure if I even explained it right basically I
want this (10 Relationship Killers) - and yes I did buy it and
not just steal it!- to link to my aweber list and not Steve's!

Thanks

    Hi,

    First thing is to not grab the JS form, but the HTML. And the form to create is the Popular => Basic. After you pick the template, remove the header and footer from the edit page, then save.

    After you get the form, then just add the code starting with the <form> to the table where the HTML of the form starts. Then remove the <input part for both the name and email and add to your template.

    I know it sounds confusing, but it's not that hard once you see it in page editor.

    See if that helps.

    Thanks,

    John

    Hi Topher,

    If you hit view and then Source of the file you have bought from Stephen you will see he is using the js code. Line 42 and Line 43

    <palign="center">

    <scripttype="text/javascript" src="http://forms.aweber.com/form/98/2095192698.js"></script>

    </p>

    Just replace your js code you made at and got from aweber and save the file.
    Then publish to the web.

    If you want to use the html code then send it to yourself from aweber - use the send to webmaster
    Then remove the js lines and add the full html bits of code from line 42
    Make sure you copy correctly from the <form> tag to the </form> tag.

    Kindest regards,

    Janet.

      You can use either Java script or html, javascript limits you to the design capabilities within Aweber (which have gotten better, but still have their limits) but allow you better tracking within Aweber on conversion from the particular form whereas html gives you more control over the form but you give up the more granular tracking.
