Hi,

Has anyone on this forum ever tried or received local/national funding to a new IM or existing IM business to develop it? To pay for advertising?

I used to work in a agency that provided funds for new and existing business that gave funding however they had to prove their business model was going to be successful.

Thanks.

Exactly, nobody will fund your ideas unless you proved that they gonna be a great success . and the only way to prove such a thing is by hustling a little bit at the beginning and if you done did it you will start getting some steady cash flow that you can use to reinvest and fund yourself !

It's the internet !! the land of self made millionaires, who needs outside help anyway ...

    Good luck

Actually you are wrong. With any business, having to prove that the business model is going to be successful you can use statistics and numbers from other businesses within the same type of model you are using. I have heard of some people getting funding for internet businesses before, though most people don't bother because start up costs are so cheap. You should understand that an internet business is just like any other type of business, and it takes massive work and a lot of time to make it successful.

You have treat Internet marketing like any other business. Funding will only be available if you have a credible business plan and cash flow projections.

I'm sure it's possible to get funding if you approach it like any other business model.

Agreed. In today's world, it doesn't really require thousands and thousands of dollars in the form of a business loan in order to start up an internet business. On the other hand, it does require work, perseverance and some degree of trial and error. Even if you have $20,000 to spend tomorrow on PPC or PPV advertising, you could blow it all away very quickly if you don't actually learn how to do it properly. A lot of that comes through experience, and diligent, consistent work. It'd be best to start small initially on the internet, and only think of expanding/investing more once you feel like you're getting the hang of things.

well there is alot of unemployed people who cant afford web hosting, ppc and autoresponders so even a little funding from agencies would be a great help in my opinion. Its easy for those who work full time.
