I would like to start buying solo ads to build my list. Is there an ebook or video course that teaches how to do solo ads and how to find good solo ads?

Is there a solo ad forum with some feedback about peoples experiences with different lists??

    There is alot of good information out there by Charlie Page. Some of it is free, some is not, and he does have courses for his members. It would be a good idea to look into it. Hope this helps!

    Important is to make sure to check the references of the marketer who is going to do the mailing for you. Also ask which website he used to capture the emails of the subscribers because you want to make sure that the clicks you will be receiving are targeted to your offer

      Charlie Page of the Directory Of Ezines is highly reputable and recommended by many experienced markers, so yes, I think it will be a good place to start too.

      Solo advertising is one of the said powerful ways to advertise when it comes to paid advertising. Good decision

    Charlie Page's Directory of Ezines is probably the best source, for the type of information you're looking for. A few words of advice: When using solo ads, it's important to keep in mind, response rates will vary depending on a variety of factors - not the least of which is quality of the mailing list, effectiveness of the sales copy, the viability of the product or service being offered, and the time and day of the mailing.

    Solo ads are very effective. Just remember to test your ads first by starting with small mailings, and once you have a good response with your ad copy start with larger mailings. All the best.

      While it's possible to test a small sample of a mailing list with direct mail, that's usually not the case with solo ads in ezines. The rate you pay is generallly based on the entire mailing list.

        Hi David,

        Actually the comment posted by the user createyouwealth was very good, I suppose that you didn't understand it. Let me explain it to you and others who may need it.

        Before starting your solo ads campaign you need some things: a product, a landing page, a solo ad. How do you know that your ad copy is good? Is not you or your copywriter the persons who decide that a solo ad is good. The market decides it. How do you find market's opinion? You make some tests.

        If you don't make tests, then you can pay a significant price for a solo ad (in a large ezine) just to finally find out that your ad sucks. That's not the way to go. That's why you need to make some tests before starting the actual solo ad campaign.

        One of the ways to make tests is to buy solo ads in small ezines. Why small ezines? Because the solo ads are cheap. When you make tests your goal is not as usually (many sales or many signups) and that's why you don't need to advertise to as many people as possible. You can have many different goals (because you can test many different things - the more tests, the better the solo ad). For example: choosing between 2 subject lines that you think that are good - you buy 2 solo ads in the same small ezine, the ad copy being the same except for the subject line. Etc...

        So ... guys ...
