Default Tiny URL problems

I am having some issues trying to cloak a Warrior Forum link with TinyUrl, can you take a look at this and see if you see any problems

warriorforum.com

BTW anybody using Firefox should have this plugin https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8636 Expand shortened URLs wherever you go by harnessing the power of LongURL.org. Supports ALL shortening services. Works with most links like tinyurl

When I click on the link, I come to Warrior Forum.

On a related note, can someone tell me the purpose of tinyURL?

Why do you use it? Why would anyone use it?

EDIT______

oh...I see, it's blue guys.

But my question still stands.

A lot of people use it to do link cloaking, about the only time I use it is for twitter to keep my urls short.

Well why would someone cloak a link...I mean people still have to go to the same website. Wouldn't they know what the link was when they got there? And wouldn't robots see that as well?

Thanks

As the name implies, it's to make the link shorter, which comes in handy for emails or places like Twitter that have length limits.

By the time people have arrived at the target site, it doesn't really matter that they can see what the real link is. Most people aren't looking at that. The point is to get them there.

Also, if the real link has an affiliate id in it, the target site may not display that id depending on how the site is set up, so the tinyurl will not look like an obvious affiliate id.
