Rate of Return Using PPC for Clickbank

I am just curious as to what type of return other Warriors are seeing. I started some Clickbank campaigns a few months ago and kind of forgot about them. I checked today and I had made a few hundred dollars. Anyways, I figured that I made $4.73 for every $1 that I spent on PPC. I am just curious if that is below average, or about right.

I have heard that people would be happy to, make $2-$3 for every dollar spent, you are doing a hell of a job in my opinion.

I don't know ... but you did better than me. I worked my way up, gradually, to about $2.70 per $1 spent on it (that was over 2 years ago, now). It's not easy. I haven't given it the time and attention it obviously deserves, but it's clearly a viable business model for people with the right skill-set, who try hard to build lists from the traffic generated. It's attractive, though, because (within limits) it's scalable.

It's like so many things in internet marketing, Paul: it works very well for some people and not at all for others.

Far more people are unsuccessful with it than are successful, of course. But the people who are successful can do very well.

It has a big learning-curve, for sure.

Thats pretty good really, but you need to scale it up probably - some really accurate keywords will convert really well like this, but you will probably find that if you scale things up and go after broader keywords then your ROI will drop, but as long as it is still profitable then go for it.

test and then find a winner, then try to beat your winners with more tests.

PPC is not for the faint of heart, but at the same time, gurus will not be in this game without doing PPC.

So keep doing this. Keep testing, eventually you will find a killer offer with the right keywords. Then whammo. Home run!

You should be happy with any business that gives you an ROI of 100%+ within 30 days.

That's the line I draw for myself for most online businesses and transactions. Below that is not an effective use of cash flow and above is awesome. The highest I ever reached was 3000%+ ROI in 30 days. Too bad that didn't last more than a few months.
