Contact all the local radio, television and newspaper offices and tell them it's a fundraising event that you wanted to be sure they knew about. Someone might run a spot or bring it up.

Jason, time is your enemy in this case. It sounds like most of the bases are covered. Here are my suggestions...

Sell a WSO, use the proceeds to run a last minute radio ad in the local area.

Sell a WSO, use the proceeds to run a television commercial on select networks in that zip code. TV Ads - AdWords - Google

Finally, run a WSO, use the proceeds to buy a 30 second spot on the local news channel. I recall reading a thread where local news channels charge something like $150 for a 30 sec spot.

Don't forget Craigslist, Craigslist Forums and Backpage.

    Everything the others said... And...

Call all the radio stations and see if you could come in for an impromptu radio interview about the show...

    Put it all over craigslist...

Maybe flyers on the college campuses...

    Run a Google TV ad...

I work in the music business and we do a lot of similar things.

Would need more info to really get specific on what to do, but here are some general thoughts...

Free tickets = a show that isn't worth paying for

My suggestion is to make people buy the tickets, but give them a drink ticket with purchase. Normally, comedy shows are a "two drink minimum" so a free drink with each ticket will make the offer stand out as well as makes it look like you're working not only with the charity, but also the people in the audience. It also makes it look like more of an event, which will make it easier for your street team to sell.

Club is happy, because they'll getting money for drinks. People are happy because they're getting a free drink. Charity is happy because they're selling tickets.

Dude, how big is the venue? That's one heck of a lineup to not be sold out already.

go to a place in the city where there are a lot of people, stand on a big podium and start telling jokes.

Use social proof and pay a few people to stand around you and laugh to attract a bigger crowd, and tell everyone who is crowding around you to go to the show if they want to hear more jokes from you.

Jason. Put on leggings, a very large codpiece, and a floppy hat, and hold a large yam in your hand. Stand by the Pier in Hermosa Beach. Recite Shakespeare. However, you'll need to rewrite Shakespeare so each line leads to Kevin Nealon's act, such as: "Alas, poor Kevin! I knew him, Horatio; a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy" At which point, one of your helpers holds up a sign saying "Kevin Nahon is jesting at The Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach!"

Also, have someone video you. Upload it to YouTube. Not sure the video will help, but I'll definitely get a good laugh.
