Ok, One of my blogs is showing some sort of error.

Instead of trying to fix it I just want to get the 1 post I created. It was a sales letter I put together that took me all day to do.

Is there anyway I can view or download just the post from a specific directory inside my hosting.

Or does anyone know how I can find the directory for
inside wordpress for http://listbuildingapprentice.com/hello-world

cheers

You should be able to recover the text of it from PhpMyAdmin if you have access. It's stored on the database rather than within a folder. You may well find it easier identifying the problem with the site if you're not familiar....

Unless you fix the error, the only way to get a post is to browse the database. You need an access to phpmyadmin, check your hosting admin panel and see if you have this access. If not you need to download phpmyadmin, extract it and upload it to a directory on the server then browse to that directory and use your DB credentials to open a DB session.

Call your hosting company and try and get them to revert it to a previous state. I accidentally deleted my entire website and they were able to recover the whole thing for $5. Well worth it.

    1. Your posts are NEVER in files or directories on your hosting account!

    2. All your content in a WP blog is stored in the database.

    3. The error has nothing to do with your post. I seems like an incomplete install.

    4. Check with your FTP that the required file (wp-includes/pomo/mo.php) has been uploaded.

    5. You can get the post content from the database by going to your site's admin (not WP's own admin). If you have cPanel you can get to the database using phpMyadmin (it should be there).

The reverting to a previous state does work though b/c it takes a snapshot of your site at a particular time and just goes back to that. Mine was a wordpress site too...
