Is your internet connection stable? Does it affect your business?

If you are in USA or UK, then probably your internet connection is very stable and you don't have any problems.

But for me here in India, losing internet connection from time to time is the biggest problem in my business.

There is no sync between the various government departments. If they expand the road, they just kill the wires and throw it aside. Then the telephone department has to join them again.

Sometimes the internet gets disconnected for no reason and then I have to register a complaint. No one will care anyway. Then I have to call the local telephone exchange and some "line man" will come and see what is the problem. The problem is usually simple and then I have to give him a small cash reward for attending to me. Else he would not come again the next time so easily.

I realize the importance of being connected only when I get disconnected. Sometime I wonder if I am addicted to the internet because when I get disconnected I become depressed, angry... it is like withdrawal symptoms of a drug!

Today morning I watched an interesting webinar and immediately wanted to start applying the techniques. But my net got disconnected and just before a few minutes I got connected again.

I think i understand your pain. Working from Nigeria, i also have the problem of getting a reliable internet connection. Presently, i'm using an ISP (Internet Service Provider)modem that i feel like just throwing into the fire. It had been working just fine for some time but as soon as the raining season started here in Nigeria, it's been terrible. The good thing here however is that there are lots of ISPs in Nigeria and one can just change easily but they are quite expensive.
I try not to let it bother me so much since what i do online as an internet marketer could be managed with a slow connection. But if i was into something like Forex or any other biz that demands a very fast connection, then i would have been really concerned.
    I wish you well.

Move to Australia, and you can get some sweet, sweet speed. (Only if a certain political party are voted in this month though.)

Maa-aate! not everywhere in Australia though, I'm unfortunately subject to only two choices, next G or dial up.
I know how you feel Deepak. Our next G is the same, continually dropping out and slow. And we pay though the nose for it! Last year we lost connection for a whole WEEK!
Just keep breathing! I understand your furstrations but if you can let them go you will be less likely to experience negative consequences from your emotions.
      Good luck. Blessings to you.

An unstable connection can be a curse to you and your business. My Internet connection was pretty unstable up until last year and I know how frustrating it is when your finalizing a deal with your client and suddenly you're disconnected.

Lucky me, my connection is pretty stable now...

I'm facing this issue only throughout the holidays, I spent most of them out of town and naturally, there isn't a particularly good connection in a village with 50 inhabitants.

It's an inconvenience, but it isn't something that would cause the downfall of your business...

I guess I should feel fortunate that I rarely lose my internet connection. I think over the past year I have had maybe 2 - 3 hours when my connection was down and I think an hour of that was because I forgot to pay the bill.

What do you guys down when your connection goes down? Just work locally on your pc or laptop?
