How to Survive the Recession

In every previous recession, the companies that have survived and thrived have each
done all four of the following:

1. They have watched their cash flow like hawks!

2. They have retained their best people even if they had to re-deploy them.

3. They have systemized their business [just like McDonald's and the other big food companies] so that their systems NOT their people run the business.

4. They have engaged in highly aggressive direct response marketing campaigns!

More than ever before business owners need to make sure they dont pay attention to those 'selling hope to the hopeless' Now is the time to create exceptional value for money and focus on doing the stuff as never before.

Because no matter what the experts say and no matter how bad the economy is, you are always just one good marketing idea away from making the money you need.

You sort of touched on it, but another thing is that they don't cut their advertising budgets when times are bad (which is really dumb if you think about it).

One way to survice is to create low-priced products during the recession. It's simple advice, but it works!

Recession = restructuring of the economy

There is a transformation taking place. Some of the old ways are not working, and new ways of doing things are taking their place. It is our job to identify what will shape the next economy.

Thanks for the post. This is truly a time to evaluate our financial practices (both personal and business). Best practices are needed along with wisdom, patience, and high integrity.
