New here, and to IM. Few Questions Please Assist!

Hey, I'm new around here and to the whole internet marketing thing. I've read around and I think I feel like I understand the whole concept and can definitely turn this into a good amount of money. I have a few questions and what not, and I was hoping some of the 'pros' around here could help me out.

Now here's a really quick profile about me:
Age: 18
Income: None, can't find a job.
Current Money: Roughly $100

Now, I've been doing some research and I see that mobile ads are EXTREMELY inexpensive in comparison to internet ads. So that is my target, I've read up on Mobile Monopoly and learned a lot so I think that is where I'm going to be putting my money.

Here's my plan:
I basically intend to do everything 'by the book' per say. No *AMAZING* or *NEW* ideas. I was hoping to get some opinions about whether or not this will ~ most likely ~ make me at least what I've spent.

I'm starting an ad campaign via AdMob, with only $50. I'm just going to be using a generic niche (A Health & Fitness one), and my goal is to generate an email list to which I can market to. I am using AWeber, and I've made some auto responders. I also have some delay auto responders that wait a few days and attempt to market a clickbank product (all straight from MobileMonopoly).

So, here are my questions:
1. Has anyone here, well anyone reading this, read (or watched I guess) Mobile Monopoly and did it give you good results?

2. For those who use AWeber, with your auto responder do you use the generated templates to make your email look nice and appealing, or do you just leave it as a white page?

3. For anyone using a mailing list, what do your subject titles look like? Are they the generic spam ones (ex. Hey! You gotta see this! or URGENT! Blah Blah Blah) or have you found a way to market a product without sounding like you're trying to sell them something (even though you are).

4. Also for those who use mailing lists, when you're sending what do you use as a sending name? Do you just use something related to your product (ex. Quick & Easy Abs) or do you use your actual name (or a fake name).

Most of my questions involve mailing lists because I (and I'm sure nearly everyone) tends to ignore ALL mail they're not familiar with. I don't want to spend my money to just send out 1,000 emails for them to be ignored. Obviously, sending mail that says "BUY A THINNER WAISTLINE" from "THE FAT REMOVER" is going to get ignored (or is it, that sounds catchy! lol). But I think (or I hope) you guys kind of get the doubts I'm having.

Thanks for the help,

Aestus

Just my honest opinion here but if you are just starting and have little money to spend I would not look at paying for ads like admob. I feel you will not get the results you want and will become frustrated and give up.

The money would be better invested in getting a domain, hosting and email responder.

Learn some free traffic techniques to generate traffic to your site to build up some followers which will become your costumers over time.

Some good advice here. If you've never done paid ads that money could disappear in a hurry with little or no results. I also recommend to learn some free traffic techniques, theres plenty of info on this forum to get you started.

Paid ads can drive some traffic while you work on your SEO strategy, but they can also be incredibly expensive. You'll have a small ad budget, so it won't translate to much on a daily basis.

That being said, I use Aweber for my email series, and I love it. It makes everything very easy. I don't set up any fancy templates or anything - just a straight email with plenty of good information. And, Aweber requires a double opt-in, so it's not likely that subscribers will be unfamiliar with your email address.

With your email titles, you certainly want to grab readers' attention, but you don't want to be over the top. There's a big difference between being compelling and over-sensationalizing. And, you don't want a hyped-up title to turn people off, when you have great, solid information inside. The best advice I can give you is to be genuine. The last thing you want to come across as is just another internet marketer who will say anything to make a quick buck.

    Good luck to you!
