If I was to say I was gobsmacked...

About how a very senior warrior (and respected marketer) was savaged in a recently deleted post, I'd be understating it

Cool move guys,

You just pissed off someone from whom you could have learnt a huge amount. I doubt he'll be back

      Scott,

The post was deleted, but yes an old and respected warrior was pretty much attacked for a post he made. I had posted a response myself and was in the process of another post saying that I agreed with the OP and was only trying to put in words what everyone else was trying to say, minus the emotional baggage.

The entire thing should have been handled better and I really do hope that the OP does come back and continue to be a valuable asset to the forum.

      Kim,

despite the fact I expressed no need to go running to defend the WF - I hope that you don't feel I was rude towards him. I have PM'd the person in question to apologise if my apathy came across as rudeness.

Some of the other posts in the thread were rude (and insulting) and I hope the person in question doesn't leave because of them.

WF is what it is BECAUSE of the diverse views and methods of others. That doesn't excuse rudeness though.

      Kindest regards,
      Karl.

No I didn't think yours was rude Karl, it was nice of you to pm him. (I did so myself).

I don't really know what else to say, (its not often I'm speechless)

I'm off to watch BoneKickers on the telly and eat chocolate, think I'm fed up with IM at the mo, it's left a bad taste

I too understood where Jack was coming from and did try to explain, nicely
I hope, why I felt my time was better spent concentrating on making money.

I have all the respect in the world for Jack and wish I had half his smarts, but
I have to pick my battles and this wasn't one I was ready to raise the torch
          for.

Unfortunately it has happened in the past, and will surely happen in future, than disagreement with a post degenerates in to name calling, mud slinging and personal attacks.

Unfortunately with the removal of a thread all the posts, including those of value, are lost as well.

Allen, is there anyway that individual posts can be deleted without the whole thread being deleted? By way of the reporting system?

Jack didn't do anything wrong, at all. He got used by a certain group of people who find every opportunity they can to throw punches at the Warrior forum.

                Let's let it drop, please...

Yes, and it's likely only a coincidence that so many of those same names are on the "banned" list of the WF for good reason.

The way I see it is that the deleting of the thread was more of an act of respect and kindness to not only to the forum as a whole but to Jack as well..

Unfortunately, the thread turned horribly in the wrong direction and away from it's original intent in the first place. To the point of becoming abusive to this forums patrons and to Jack.

I do hope he'll be back. I think he can see past the BS.
