My keys to being successful online

I've been into internet marketing for 7 years. I started when I was 23. I've learned so much in that time. I just want to take this tiime to give something back(it may not be much) to the newbies and to those who are struggling. Here's a bit of advice:

1. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't make money online. There will be people who are skeptical of what you do even those who are close to you. Don't be discouraged.

2. In the beginning you want to soak in as much knowledge as you can. I would advise any newbie to find a good forum such as this one(the warrior forum). Read, Read, Read, Read and comprehend what you are reading. This information is available for free. It doesn't get any better than that.

3. Many of you will disagree but I suggest purchasing a few ebooks, there are actually a few good ones out there. I pour my heart and soul into my ebooks. Therefore, I know every ebook isn't garbage. I know what the user wants and I give it to them instead of beating around the bush.

4. Find a solid plan to make money. I'm not going to give away any real secrets here but you can find a lot of solid plans that work right here on this forum for free. There's plenty of members here who are willing to help.

5. When you find a plan, be consistent. I have the same routine each day. I approach this as if it were a regular job. I just have freedom to do what I want.

Finally, my secret to success is OUTSOURCING. I will say no more. I hope this little piece of info helps somebody.

I agree with you totally. Outsourcing is the best way if you don˙t want to be overwhelmed.
I understand that beginner with few experience isn˙t thinking in this way yet. So, my advice is: start outsourcing as soon as possible.

Yeah, my eyes were recently opened to the power and beauty of outsourcing. I'm a bit angry because I've wasted so much time.

You cannot fault newbies for not outsourcing more.

When you're just getting started, it's normal to think that you can do the work yourself and save money.

I don't think anyone is trying to fault anybody. It's just some helpful advice that maybe they'll want to look into.

Sometimes I think the word "outsource" can mean some far off land, but I have people working for me in the United States and Canada, in addition to Europe.

My best advice, since I am a full time internet marketer myself, is to find a solid program that will teach you how to be home full time and never quit. Stay persistent and do what ever it takes to succeed.

There will be MANY times where you will feel like quitting but don't. It is so easy to quit and hard not to.

    Hi,

I've been researching marketing online for 3 years. You are right you have to be consistant and be persistant. Don't let people get you down, don't expect over night success, and put in a few hours each day if you can.

I think an important part to marketing online is being positive, like the other day I made my first affiliate sale for a new product I've been pushing. It took over a month, and if I was new at the game I might have given up weeks ago, but I know persistance pays off.

Anyway I think outsourcing is smart, once you have a game plan of the product that you are thinking of marketing. Haven't a concept is the most important thing, that and the demand to buy that product.

Right now I am taking the product course, coming up with product ideas, and I think it's great.

Anyway I think you have to be realistic when you want to make money online, spell out your goals and work towards them. Don't give up!

yes you have to be realistic...set realistic goals for yourself. If you set outrageous goals in the beginning then there's a good chance that you will become upset and frustrated...the best thing to do is to set realistic goals.

Don't be afraid to fail either. If you are afraid of failure, you're probably not even going to take the chance on getting started.

Man making money online is a thing of beauty when you actually learn what you're doing. If you're having a hard time promoting other peoples products...you can provide a service. No one should go without making money online, there's too many ways to do it.

I'm all for outsourcing but I really believe that in the beginning you need to do everything yourself. By doing this you find out what you like and don't like to do in IM. You then start oursourcing what you don't like or aren't good at.

I totally agree with this! When you do everything yourself in the beginning, you learn MUCH more about the whole concept of marketing than if you have someone else do it for you. By doing article marketing, blogging, etc. you learn SO MUCH about keywords and SEO.

Then, once you understand WHY you are doing what you're doing, start outsourcing some of the work. Great thread

I just recently realised that outsourcing is A MUST for part time marketer (such as myself).

I have only 2 hours a day to acomplish all 'production' and marketing
tasks and I cannot achieve a full time income doing everything myself.
        It's impossible.

So if I am to achieve the $5000/mo income I must outsource a lot
of content creation, link building, posting , etc.

The problem is I had bad experiences with some freelancers from freelance
sites, I simply can't find affordable and reliable workers for long term
relationship. I need writer, editor, poster, link builder, graphics
        designer...

Where are you finding your workers and how much are you paying them?
( please omit DP forums and freelance sites, is there anything better?)

    Yes - Outsourcing is good.

I just outsourced a task for something unrelated to India last week.

It has worked well so far.

Saving time is the key and spending that saved time on critical things makes a big difference.

Nice points there. I think the above point covers it implicitly but just wanted to expand on it.

When you get a solid plan, STICK with it till you make money from it or totally fail. Most of the newbies start with a method, then see something else which promises more riches in a shorter time period and jump onto it and the cycle continues. Needless to say, they keep on hopping from one program to another without doing justice to any one of them.

Just a quick comment: when you outsource your articles or anything else for that matter, make sure that your writer or outsourcer understands EXACTLY what you want your end product to be. I have paid for projects that I was not happy with even after three attempts. Be wary of language barriers as well and if you are going cheap, you may get what you pay for.

I hesitate to outsource because as a writer I am someone people outsource to. I'm also kind of a stickler, so even if I had a bunch of articles that I wanted to use for marketing but that I didn't have time to write, I would have a hard time trusting anyone else to write them as well as I could. (Honestly, I'm not being snobby. I've just been a freelance writer for a long time.)

Thank you for the encouragement, though. I am the new kid on the block when it comes to Internet marketing, and I really want to make a go of it!
