Amember / Aweber / Paypal Integration? What's the best way to set this up?

Hey guys,

Soooo, I've got a bit of an issue. I'm releasing a video series soon, and I'll be hosting the videos in an Amember protected directory on my server.

I'll be using Paypal for my payment processing, and Aweber is my autoresponder.

Ideally, I want people to be on my list after they purchase, similar to what you can do with PayPal buttons integrated to Aweber via the e-mail parser.

The problem seems to arise when I want to restrict access to paying customers via Amember.

Ideally for me, it would work like this:

Customer pays at paypal (and are automatically opted in at Aweber) >>> they are then sent to Amember.

However, as far as I know with how Amember works, you can't go backwards from Paypal to Amember like this, so it has to look like this:

Custom signs up at Amember >>> they are sent to Paypal to make payment >>> Sent back to Amember for access to their products.

So that's cool, I have no problems with them going to Amember first though it'd be cool if they could pay first but whatever. Problem is, when I go Amember to Paypal like this, I can't get them on my Aweber list. The only way I know of is through a plugin like aMail.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Yeah, you need the amail plugin to hook amember into aweber.
aMember may have a version of the paypal plugin that lets you put it in front of amember as well- send them a support ticket.

All you need is to setup Paypal as the processor for aMember. This is really easy to do and it comes with a plugin. Checkout this link:

PayPal Standart Plugin Configuration - AMember Pro Manual

Then you will need a plugin called aMail which automatically adds all aMember customers to your aWeber list:

    Simple as that!

    Hope this helps,

Here is what I use: DPD - Digital Product Delivery - Sell Downloads and Run Your Own Affiliate Program {not an affiliate link} they make it super easy to integrate your autoresponder using custom email parsers w/PayPal and several other payment processors. I set it up quickly and they have great help articles. Plus they offer completely free 30 day trial (don't even ask for a credit card) and then plans start at just $5 a month.

They also have an affiliate program included (I mean your own personal affiliate network) and they are great for delivering your digital products and you get to store the products on their server so this saves room if your hosting company places a limit. I personally use this system to deliver a video series (the one in my sig file) with no probs at all. I just zipped them into a folder and uploaded it to their server. They even allow you to make the download link expire and cloak it for you also. I'm really glad I found this company. They are a relatively new company (my account is in the 2000's). I'm not even sure how I found them, lol.

    I hope this helps

DPD is almost exactly like e-junkie! At first I thought it was a white label, but the pricing is a bit different.

OMG - I wish I'd known about DPD before! You ARE better looking, and that counts! I'm looking into amember now, I need a fluid affiliate system and e-junkie makes me insane and costs me so much time and money. SO clunky to use. Just yesterday I was speaking at a conference and a guy who had never done business online was asking how to create passive income, and I was going through a brief description, told him about e-junkie and I WISH I'd known about DPD yesterday! He'll email and I'll tell him - plus, I'm working on a new course for newbies and will include it. So happy I found you!
