Selling $7dollar secret products?- Do the need their Own individual URLS?

When selling products with the $7 script, (giving a big commission to your list)

does the sales page of your product have to be on a New hosted domain?

Case 1
www. Mynewdomain .com? - the homepage?

or you can use one of your already established websites, and use a Page off that domain? (the homepage is in use though)

Case 2

www. OldExisting domainn .com/url-for-the-salespage.htm? (is this a good option for selling a $7dollar script product on)

www. OldExisting domainn .com (This is NO option, as this homepage is already taken)

So new domain? or old domain with a sub page?

what would you recommend? and reasons?

Can both cases be done? with any advantages over one VS the other?

  • I use both.

For products which I consider having a good lifespan, or that will be of particular interest to affiliates, I register a top level domain.

For other products, where I'm less confident, or it's more of a short term offer, I have a general site which I add subdomains to.

If you're getting started and short of money I think it's quite acceptable to use subdomains until you get going.

Are there any step by step simple videos to install this $7 script software?

can you find some good ones on youtube?

I'm sure there are plenty, but I'm a technical person so I'm quite happy with a server and an install guide to get things up and running. I've never looked for videos; someone else will be much more able to assist with that question.

The software I use is Rapid Action Profits, which is like the $7 script taken to the next level. It offers a lot more options for pricing and commissions and is being actively and continually developed. But either should serve you well.

If you're stuck on installing the script and having to install it multiple times, check the site in my sig, it allows you to do what the $7 script does (and more) without having to install anything.

IMHO a better way to look at it is ... what would make an affiliate more likely to promote my product.

I think a domain name rather than sub-directory because I'm really curious so everytime I end up at a www.myproduct.com/sub-directory/ ... I usually have a look at the www.myproduct.com page to see what it's all about.

Imagine your affiliate sends traffic to the .../subdirectory/ ... gets curious and goes to your home page where you have a squeeze page and they join your list instead and maybe buy the product from you as a OTO or whatever.

Even if you still made money ...

No sale for the affiliates = less chance they'll promote it in the future.

I would use a subdomain for your $7 products as you don't have to go out and buy a new domain when you want to run a $7 special. Not only that, but you don't have to change the script for an existing product that has its own root domain e.g. abc.com and have to change the script to go back to normal price.

With the subdomain, you can even yank it at any time for time sensitive releases, i.e. "Sorry, this offer has closed" message on sales page.
