Your Gmail Account Has Been Accessed

Anyone get this message in Gmail?

I just logged into my account and at the top of my inbox a red bar showed up
and it said that my account was accessed from someone in a different state.

I just changed my password and am worried about this.

Anyone else see this?

I've not experienced this. Has this happened to you before? Good idea about changing password.

several things are being reported about gmail accounts, which could be a glitch and not really accurate.
Another being is you log into your gmail but turns out to be someone elses account.

That was what I was worried about. Someone else accidentally
      logging into my account.

      How can that happen?

that's so strange :S it's bad of Google for that to happen!

Abit off topic, but I was talking to my friend today on the phone and suddenly we got cut off. It went quiet for a while and then suddenly I was listening in on a convo between a man and a woman. They couldn't hear me and after short while I got cut off. that's never happened to me before. I thought I would just share that coz the above just reminded me of that.

Think what could happen if you and the other party(ies) were using video phones.

Back on topic - I have not yet had any problems with Gmail, although I know that some other Warriors claim to have had significant issues.

My 'problem' last week was with my main Yahoo email account. I have had it for about 10 years or so and ... to cut a long story short ... I was not allowed to log in before completing a capcha and then changing my password.

The reason given was that my email account was displaying unusual activity and may have been compromised. Again, to keep the post short - my account had been compromised. All is now well though.

How the devil these people or bots manage to capture/access one's account is beyond me. There it is though, it happens - all part of the fun of accessing the Internet!

        Regards,
        Jeff.

Did you know, about 1 phone call in every 10 went like this even 15-20 years back in India?

Looks like others are catching up with us !!

I don't really use gmail other than to subscribe to blogs and what not since I use my email address from my school.

Haven't had any problems with Gmail as of today. I had a similar problem with WF though. I got an email saying someone tried to log into my account here from an IP Address that was traced back to India.

Anything can be hacked. Period. There is 'safety in numbers', only. If your email is never hacked, it is because no one wanted to, not because no one could.

gMail seems to be playing up a lot lately.

A couple months ago, I was logged into someone else's gMail account. I logged out as soon as I realized that (well, that'd be a second or two lol) but its scary at the very least.

Try using a proxy to access to your email and you'll see that message too

    Hey

A few months back ago, I also got the same message. Someone from NL had accessed my account. I changed my password ASAP and kept it something that'll take forever to break!
