i am desperate - traffic problem

people, i am desperate, i don't know what more to do
i am trying article marketing, social marketing, RSS marketing, and no results

small bumps of traffic that just disappear

lot of people surfing the web, but none surfing in my direction
so frustrating, i don't know what to do anymore .

    Question: What are you doing to actually build relationships with real customers? Even if you are just getting a trickle, you can grow off that if you are doing something to draw them and get to know them better.

      if i had that costumers i could find something to do with them...
      for the costumers to come there needs to be traffic first, i guess :confused:

        Ok, this is good, and next it would be interesting to know if you some idea how much each of those customers would be worth to you on average. You may find that there is some cost to getting the exposure you need (PPC, strategically placed banner ads, etc.), but if you are pretty certain you will be able to build more than just a short term relationship with the customers, I think it might be very worthwhile to see if you can find some strategic (not necessarily expensive) places to buy some space.

    The most important thing to do is to optimize your website for google and other search engines. Make sure you get your keywords in the content.
    Also edit your meta tag and page title.

    You know article marketing takes time or money (I prefer to give my money to make money faster.) Have you tried everything there is to AM?

    I am sure you have not.

    If you want instant results, fork out a quick 300 bucks and have 20 quality articles created for you. In IM niche, my outsourced articles bring in 50 unique visitors each in their first month... So that would be 1000 unbqiue visitors... I foyu have a $100 offer that converts at 1%, you have made $1000 with that traffic in the first month.

    Reinvest $750 and get 50 articles in your next month to generate $2500 in sales/profits. And so on. That's the fastest way to grow your Article Marketing empire.

    but if you do not have money, you might need to consider some good article writing WSO's or courses by other experts and with trial and practice you can starft writing the right articles too... Just that it will take time.

        Both places...


        In fact, I post the same articles (Actually I am lazy, my VA does that) to EA, Go Articles, Article City, idea Marketers, Wordpress.com , Blogger.com, Facebook and Myspace Notes And Blog, And my own blogs too..

        There are a ton of experienced people here who will tell you there is no PENALTY fot duplicate content...

        Duplicate content is your VRE like 2 apartments that look alike...

        Post them to your own wordpress blog. Google is in love with wordpress at the moment. I dont think il ever go back to a static html site. Blog and ping your article. Wait 24 hours then go crazy posting your article to as many directories and social media sites as you can. Then Bookmark as many of those posts as you can using socialmarker.com. Will take a day or 2 to set up all your new accounts but once your done, its all down hill from there when it comes to future articles.

        Try your hardest to write an article that is full of high quality info. Do lots of research and answer questions people have on the subject. Spend half a day writing it if you have to.

        This will make the article go viral when other sites and blogs link to your article and webmasters post it to their opt-in lists.

        This will drive in a flood of traffic to your site. You will also get a ton of backlinks that will boost your rankings.

        Lakshaybehl is right, you dont get penalised for Duplicate content on different domain names.

        Imagine if you wrote a great Article and then 50 people published it on their websites. It would be a pretty harsh world if you got penalised for that.

        publish it in as many places as you can if you are targeting click through traffic.

        The only problem with duplicate content is that Google only counts a small portion of backlinks from the total Articles published, e.g. 6 or 7 out of 100.

        If an article has been spun into multiple versions, Google will view each one as origional content which inturn will give you a much higher portion of backlinks, i.e 60 or 70 out of 100. Think this is why its called the duplicate content filter rather than the duplicate content penalty.

        So duplicate content doesnt help alot when it comes to SEO but you dont get penalized either.

        Another example of duplicate content is a Press Release. That same content is reproduced thousands of times. A Press Release if one of the best marketing tactics on the internet. No penalties there.

        Always link back to your origional blog post, even if its the same content. Google will then credit your blog as the origin of the article, inturn ranking it highly.

    Article marketing gets me more FREE traffic than any other method. Blogging comes in next, and I also do Hubs and Squidoo lenses. Linking all these together creates some good "link juice" to help start generating traffic.

    There's also a good thread about "Getting the MOST out of your Ezine Articles" somewhere on the forum that I read yesterday - should really help you get more visitors if you take the time to implement!

      It's not going to work overnight, it will take substantial time and energy at first with much of your gains coming only after several months of intense effort.

      Ask yourself... how much time and energy have you "really" put into it?

      Do not listen too hard to those that seem to find traffic on demand and easily earn several thousand dollars with just some simple promotion they threw together in a day.

      If they did manage these kinds of results, more than likely they had a system in place whereby they were able to leverage traffic from other sites, JV partners, or responsive lists which enables them to earn a great deal in a short while.

      This is the kind of business that will compound in rewards over time. Just stay focused and continue to do the basics- every day till you get there.

        you know what I do to generate viral traffic? I give away free stuff...I was a freelance web designer so I gave away free XHTML templates and WordPress themes all with a credit link to my website and to this day, they still bring me traffic.

        Obviously if you're not a designer, this won't work for you, but you could write a free report and give that away. If you have some kind of specialized knowledge participate more in forums, not just this one but others too. Use Yahoo Answers, use social bookmarking, use free ads, use low cost ads, there are so many ways to get traffic, the sky is really the limit here.

        If you don't have too much money to invest to get traffic to your site, you can still use lots of free or low cost methods to accomplish the job.

        People love content. So make sure you give it to them. Lots of fresh content posted to your site a couple of times a week, works wonders. Give your visitors a reason to come back. If they like your site enough, they'll even help spread the word!

    Seo and internet marketing is just one of those things that you have to keep plugging away at. Article marketing is just one way of getting traffic, there are many more.

    The basics of seo come down to two factors content and backlinks. As I just mentioned in another post use the following html to create text links pointing to your site from other high page rank sites. Even text links within your site will help you rank.

    <A HREF="http://www.yourwebsite.com">your keyword</A>

    Also, each page in your website should focus on a single keyword, or keyword phrase.

    As for content, try blogging, and then ping.

    I have also found that my hubpages are rating very, very well for my targeted keywords.

    It's definitely not going to happen overnight, but the key is optimizing your site in the search engines

    If you're not using Wordpress, you should. I have sites indexed in Google instantly because of Wordpress. I even got a sale before my site was done and ready to launch -- Google just seems to love Wordpress - make sure to use the All in One SEO plugin as well.

    The other key to get traffic is to constantly add content to your site. I took a site from 0 to 4000 unique visitors/month in 4 months because we were posting 10 articles per day (it was a mix of unique and PLR content).

    I know you said your tried social marketing, but have you used Social Marker? I had problems getting traffic (and good google rankings) with one of my old websites until I tried this out, and it worked pretty well. It's worth a shot, and gives 50 easy backlinks..

    It takes a lot of effort to look at all those free ideas and try many of them and get dribbles of traffic.

    I just got an email that from a company that i am starting to promote, it explains step by step how to drive traffic and make more sales. The funny thing is that it's exactly the answer i have searched for in this thread.

    Some ideas:

    1) Head to the JV (joint venture) section of the forum and start networking there. Try to team up with others for promotions, ideas, etc.

    2) Head to the Calendar / Events section of the forum to see about hooking up locally with some Warriors to team up for ideas, too.

    3) Try free classifieds, especially in your area (zip code) on Craigslist and many other classified sites. Mention unique ways to sell like home parties (for beauty products) to earn $$ for the holidays, set up brochures and offer % of profits like Avon does, etc.

    4) Get help from the SBA, start here:

    Moving Ahead Blog: 100+ Marketing Ideas To Get More Traffic Leads & Sales

    5) Domain names - -lots of competition out there; small profit for one domain purchase. Package these with other things: web hosting, biz opp packages, multiple domains, re-direct instructions (sell as report / ebooks with other SEO info, etc.) etc.

    You might want to try giving something away - something of value - to your target audience and start building a list of the people who respond using an autoresponder.

    Zig Ziglar said "You will get everything you want when you help enough other people get what they want."
