Everybody started downloading my free script. I didn't really have a way to monetize it at the beginning, but at that point I knew I could find a way to make something of it.

When I realized that everything was just simple math and I built my first site up to 6,000 subscribers. Which I then sold before I had built another one... which was stupid :-P

      3 simple things!!! YES...

I just did three things anyone can go away and do right now, and the best thing is that it only takes about 2 minutes to set up.

      1) build a list

      2) build a list

      3) build a list

yes, I kept putting it off...oh god! how silly of me. Without a list I would probably make $200 a month.

One list I have created such a good repore with, they email me, if I have not sent and email in two weeks or so. And they are normally promotional...LOL that is how powerful this is.

BUILD A LIST......MAKE SURE YOU ARE COOL....DIFFERNT, and ONLY SEND EMAILS IF THEY ARE GUNNA HELP YOUR SUBBIES. BEFORE YOU SEND...ask yourself, is this really good content? am I just spamming them? is this info going to help them get closer to their goals? if the answer to even one of these is NO...dont send.

Seriously I know you dont think it is worth it, but I know that each time I hit the send button in my autoresponer, depending on the the offer, I normally bring in $x,xxx dollars. Back in January we did a smart pre-lauch to an offer. Yes 3 emails...frank kern style and it was just for a affiliate program $997...... when we sent the actual email out for offer....we bought back $xx,xxx yes just for sending 3-4 crumby emails....hardly no work at all.....just good info, and helping people. Do that and the money will come flowing like Niagara falls.

Hope this helps....now what are you doing still reading...go build that list.

When I start thinking internet marketing as a form of business rather than another get-rich-quick scheme.

Like most other people, I was stuck in a boring 9 to 5 job. I used to be a SQL Database Adminstrator in real life. It was a relatively decent paying job, with a 6 figure yearly wage.

I had a boss who was the biggest sob, I mean here was someone who just cared about getting paid and didn't give a toss for the people he worked with.

After a few agonising months of things going wrong at work I stumbled on affiliate marketing. I began reading and researching. I got caught up in all the get rich quick schemes and before long had invested over a thousand dollars in these. I bet you can guess that the results never really appeared. I felt cheated, so I scrapped the whole idea and went back to my boring 9 to 5 job.

After a couple of weeks my interest in affiliate marketing was rekindled and I found myself once again looking into it, only this time with a lot of caution.

Eventually (after I had set up my site, grown a list, and waited a few months) something truly astonishing happened. I got home from work one Friday night and discovered I had made more money online that week than I had made in my 9 to 5 job. This is the moment when it dawned on me that I had done it. To me this was a massive accomplishment, something I never thought would be possible.

I found myself shocked and I spent the weekend pondering it and realised there was nothing stopping me from doing it even better; I controlled my fortunes. A week later I handed in my resignation and told my boss to suck it up.

This was just over a year ago. I have never looked back and couldn't be happier.

I am realizing that by starting off, first do something that you have passion for. That will help you learn the ins and outs because you are motivated. After that, it seems ideas will come on how to expand.
I am one of those who will put off until I figure everything out, which cause me to not do anything at all. By doing you will learn
This is mainly for newbees..like me.

When I started writing down all my million dollar ideas/systems in my head/strategies/systems in a book.

This kept me for getting 'information overloaded'.

Whenever I wanted to implement a new strategy, I just had to quickly go through the notes in like 30 seconds, clear up everything out of my head and JUST DO IT.

When I broke everything down into little chunks, TAKING ACTION became simpler.

My biggest obstacle was information overload.
