Simon is right. You're better off using Wordpress to create your website because its pretty simple, sleek, best for SEO and you can find virtually millions of great looking themes to use with your website.

So is your friend a professional coder?

If not it may take hours to fix things as we wade through bad code to source problems.

Like everyone else said, why not switch to WP, or hire a full time designer/programmer (which is more expensive)

Good grief, Wordpress isn't the be all, end all, folks. I use it on some sites, but there are advantages and disadvantages to it. Besides, the OP didn't say if the site was static HTML, Wordpress, Cold Fusion, Drupal, or something else. It might be more helpful to ask what the problem is and what the platform is before simply parroting 'use Wordpress,' don't you think?

Having said that, what specifically are the issues, Joe?

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

My friend built his site using dreamweaver so that is what he is using on my site. He is not a professional though. The template we used seemed to have some problems with it I guess (or so he says). I am no pro myself and my knowledge on this stuff is limited. The rollover for links keeps on having problems and the big thing is the centering of the website on browsers. It is never centered properly and depending on the browser being used things can be all out of whack and jumbled. The last few days we have been trying to update changes to text and it says it's uploaded but doesn't show online. I think that may be a server problem through filezilla which is a different issue (maybe).

My link is on my signature or in my profile for anyone that wants to check it out and tell me what problems you see and what the best solution is. I tried to post the link but this site wouldn't allow it since I have less than 15 posts. I have read responses and will take everthing into consideration. Thank you.

True! Some things dont work well with wordpress at all - for instance if you are using something like elluminate.com as a teaching platform, it wont integrate well with WP - so it definitely depends on what you are trying to do with the site.

This may be off topic, but I don't like the dark background.

In looking at it with the white text, it's not pleasing to
        the eye.

Just a note, but others may think the same thing.

Its not a big issue. if you could just go over page properties located bottom center, once you click on it'll give take you to appearance of the page, on the bottom you'll see margins make everything to 0 px and click on apply and you all set. Good Luck!

I debated on what template to use but I don't know if there is a perfect color. It's up to the individual but I appreciate the input. We are using dreamweaver to build the site so I don't know how that would integrate with wordpress.
