Videos and Article Marketing

What do you find brings you the most traffic? Video's and using something like YouTube or writing articles.

    Videos are "harder" to create, thus not so many marketers outside IM niche do it. And this leads to less cmopetition in video sharing sites. In other words video can make you a bunch of traffic, if you provide value.

    From my experience in doing both in various niches, it completely depends on the niche. Some do well with both, and some perform much better in one and not the other. You really just have to try and see.

    Also, for some reason it can be hit or miss and have to do with the still image that is displayed in your YouTube video. I've had identical videos where one will outperform the other 5:1.

    I personally enjoy making videos more, even though I can crank out 5 articles in the time it takes to produce/load one video. But than again, you don't have to wait 3+ days for your video to be approved and published.

    I've had good success with article writing, but I must admit, it's not for everybody. You really should know how to craft a good article with valuable content in order to get the reader all the way through to your url at the end.

    Video marketing is an avenue I have just recently started to explore. I enjoy the creativity making videos brings, and Ryan is right, you don't have to wait for a video to be approved and published.

    Of course, doing BOTH could never hurt, eh?

    In my own experience of buying much more than I've sold, and being a newbie, I am more and more impressed by content.

    Video content has been most impressive to me because it is what I like best; however, when good video content is combined with mp3 audio and text transcripts or solid articles, you get a truly killer combo.

    Content is the key to generating a truly targeted list, this being the first most important step to making money online. The list quality will depend on the content you provide and the hungry audience you reach.

    Provide useful information, lots of great free content, that is useful to other people seeking that valuable content. It must be good enough to entice them to want more.

    I am going to be openly and directly seeking partners here to evaluate what I have, and I believe it's gold, but YOU will be the judge.
