I'm curious to know what your 5 biggest challenges were when your started out with your internet business.

Mine have been ordered here from the most to the least challenging:
  1. Website & technical setup
  2. Driving traffic
  3. Staying motivated
  4. Product creation
  5. Coming up with a business idea in the first place

What were your top 5?

Looking forward to your thoughts!

~Sean

    1. Working at home/being my own boss (above all other skills, I think learning to work for yourself is a massive learning curve)
    2. Buying too many eBooks
    3. Not following any of them through
    4. Feeling like I had to be good at everything at once
    5. Thinking the only want to make money online was to provide services to others for peanuts.

Nice thread Hopefully if it helps at least one person avoid our same mistakes it will be worth it lol

      1) Finding motivation and stopping procrastination
      2) Doubt of weather this is going to work
      3) Worrying that there's too much competition
      4) Problems with sticking to one project before moving on to something else
      5) Always trying to do everything perfectly

Awesome responses! Not what I expected to be honest! They're all mindset / beliefs sticking points.

        Interesting!

Anyone else have any others? As Ruth said, it will hopefully help someone avoid the same roadblocks!

    Good thread!

For me it's motivation, I want to make a successful series of websites but I end up looking on forums and just slumming on the web.

Also, like you've said, website set up is a massive stumbling block, I've tried doing it myself but it will be better use of time and money to outsource, also the end product will be so much better.

Then there's worries of being a noob at anything, you're like bambi on ice and you're not really certain on anything, thankfully I've got a relative who's been affiliate marketing for years so I can always get help off him.

Also I've got an idea for an e-book aimed at beginners and noobies which I think will sell brilliantly, only been in the IM game for a while but it's clear that the biggest market is beginner and people who want to make money online.

I don't have those challenges when I'm working for someone else but when I'm working on my own projects, this what happens

    1) Dreaming more than working!
    2) Staying motivated at least until finishing each project!
    3) Doing everything on my own without any help (outsourcing)!
    4) Jumping back and forth from one idea to another
    5) Ideas overload

I guess I need a boss!! recently my husband is making himself my boss lol lets see how it's going to work out for me!
