you mean for emailing your list?

It would look more attractive, but Colour newsletters would take longer to load up for your readers (im pretty sure) compared to a black and white text email, as there are more colours/fonts etc involved, so might backfire on your open rate.

Are magazines black and white or in color?

Is television black and white or in color?

Yes, just don't add so much color you confuse your reader

      Rick,

I was thinking the same thing *but* I've been a member of Dan Kennedy's Gold Circle for a while. That newsletter was black and white and I'm not so sure that I'd view a color version as having more value than the b&w.

This is the conundrum I face.

Perhaps the first one should be color along with any that go on shelves, then if it's cheaper go to black and white. Perhaps do a survey with your readers on a website to see which they prefer. This lets them know their opinion is important to you

It depends upon the content. I get a few cooking related newsletters. Those have to be colour. On the other hand, business related would usually be just as good in b&w, unless it was a newsletter about effective display ads (I'd want to see the ads in original colour).
