I"ve noticed an influx of emails lately with "Read This." as the title.

They are mostly coming from Kern and other people that are considered to be associated with him.

Anyone testing this yet, how's it working?

Such subject headings make my delete finger itch.

Dang, my browser must have a super heavy duty ninja malfunctionation.

It always shows up as "Delete This".

      So I do...

It must be some kind of new tactic. Usually some people will take the same action they read.

I usually open anything Frank sends out. If a marketer that doesn't have the track record Frank has and is just doing another "Me Too" title, then Bingo, deletification.

Now when I said "the track record Frank has" what I am referring to is NOT how much money he has made, I am referring to how much value he has added to my life.

'Life' may be the wrong word in this context, but one of the cool things Frank Kern has turned me onto is the site TED dot com. I'll always remember it was Frank who showed me that site.

However, a pitch is a pitch is a pitch, and if I ain't in the market for a product that day...Bingo.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I open them because of the things that Frank has sent in the past. I don't want to be the moron to miss what COULD be in there.

Lately, Kern's e-mails have also come under my "Delete" gun. "Read This"? Puhlease. Today's just got deleted, and it's because the last ones have not been up to the usual Kern standards, so I didn't expect much from this one either.

Frank, time to pull up your sock ... or wetsuit ... or whatever.

LOL - that's so funny. I used to read EVERYTHING from Frank and now I'm doing the exact same thing.

He's shoveling them out too often and the value's droppin' a bit...so I delete his, too!

Yep. I wasn't going to, but I saw Jeremy's name on it.

Comes across as obnoxious. "Read this" is automatic deletion, along with "death of" & "bad news".

It's really funny about how people can be so different, even if we share something in common (such as IM).

Man, that's funny you asked that. I got that today and although I didn't open it...I started wondering if it was working.

I'm thinking that if it comes from someone you know/trust, you're going to open it..

Past few emails from Frank have basically just been an affiliate link and the words:

    "I support this 100%".

C'mon Frank. A LITTLE effort would be appreciated.

I love your stuff generally but I've got to call em like I see em.

I think hes testing out a new strategy or something, hes creating some of of the shortest emails I've seen and I think it really works because it's not the first time he does this ... I always check the offers to see what's "hot" and what the "big boys" are promoting.

Yep, works well. However, after reading it you find that he's promoting a Clickbank product that is yesterday's news and below par for his level of teaching, makes ya think...c'mon Kern, what's going on dude?

I know Kern is #1 amongst the JVs for a product he's recently promoted. He used the "Read this." subject line. Must be working like a charm.

    I tested..

"Have a Look At This" as my subject in a niche that is mostly offline and it didn't increase/decrease my open rates significantly...

I couldn't care too much for the trends, but I did test this a couple of months back and it was neither here nor there..

    Peace

I read this thread because I saw Jeremy wrote it. Nowadays I'm busy to read everything, so my finger is on the delete button always, and I use it diligently. I don't know if using this kind of title the open rate will increase or decrease? I didn't tested it yet.

Mass Control Monthly subscribers will be receiving a detailed video about this tactic and why it works. Just shot that Friday as a matter of fact.

There's a "magic combo" that's gotten some of the highest CTR of any emails I've ever sent.

And that Clickbank product is amazing, by the way. It's not mine and I don't even know the guys.

I had the same reaction many of you had.

"Another make money on Clickbank product? It's gonna be crap".

But I bought it because several friends recommended it and was impressed.

Did I just start a thread that got Frank Kern to reply here?

      haha

Thats right people, eat your hearts out!

Thanks for chiming in Frank. I was curious as to what kind of effect a headline like that had on a list of a decent size.
