Old Warrior Looking For Information

Hello Warriors,
First off I am not looking for sympathy or for handouts, I am trying to find the information I need to get started in Internet Marketing after being gone for so long.

With that said, I would like to introduce myself and give you some background information about me so that you can better understand the reasons behind my questions.

My name is Amanda Bruenger, I have been or I should say was an Internet Marketer since (dirt was new) seriously, since 1999, I made my first $1.00 in 1999 or 2000, don't remember exactly, but what I do remember is running from my house to my brother's house with my $1.00 check and a big fat smile on my face so I could show them all that you really could make money online, since all I had heard for months was how I was wasting my time, real people couldn't make money on the Internet, it was just a scam to get your money. I wish I had kept that check and framed it, but I didn't, I cashed it.

My first purchase online was a book from Jim Daniels called Insider Internet Marketing. I signed up for newsletters and visited the forums religiously from Jim Daniels, Allan Gardyne, Phill Wiley and others I can't remember right now, to learn everything I could about affiliate marketing.

About that same time I found the warriors forum, joined and never regretted it, I read and reread every post, I guess you could say I received my Internet marketing education right here (actually on the old forum), If I couldn't figure out how do something after getting frustrated I would go to the warrior forum to ask a question and It would never fail that someone else had already asked the question and gotten the answer and off I'd go back to building my affiliate sites.

I even bought frontpage 2000 because of recommendations from warriors, after figuring out that frontpage express which came standered on windows 98 back then was to limited. The money started trickling in little by little, then later the checks started getting bigger and bigger (not as big as Roslind Gardner's) who I realized started online around the same time I did.

Still I was proud of myself, I could bring in $2000-3000 dollars a month with no list, and spending as little as 1 cent per click on goto.com. Life was great, things were starting to fall into place for us.

Then my father had a major stroke in 2001 which caused post stroke dementia, he never walked, spoke or eat again, we opted for a feeding tube which helped keep him with us for another year, a nursing home was out of the question for my mother, so my sister and myself helped our mother take care of him at home, I wasn't able to work at my online business as much as I wanted to, but I was still making pretty good money from the affiliate sites I had up so I wasn't really to worried.

I would help with my father in the daytime and work online at night.
My father passed away almost a year to the day of his stroke in 2002, That year took it's toll on my mother, so my husband and I moved her closer to us, (meaning right next door) so that she could still have her independence but still be close enough if she needed me.

Over the next 2 years my original sites were still consistently bringing in decent money, I even helped my naysayer brother and sister start their own online business's and even put up a few more affiliate sites, so I thought I can really start concentrating on getting my business making more money now, even did ebay for awhile.

In 2004 I realized my mother was starting to deteriorate mentally, the diagnosis was Alzheimer's, the doctors said she couldn't live alone anymore so we moved her in with us, and for the next 5 years my world revolved around her, my mother was my best friend and I wasn't going to lose her without a fight to this awful disease,(been there, done that, got the t-shirt) so I dove head first into finding out as much as I could about Alzheimer's, and taking care of my mother. I guess you could say I was losing my mind trying to help my mother to keep hers.

In September 2009 the Angels came for my mother, one month after her 82nd birthday, It was a very long hard fought battle, even though I thought I was prepared, I was devastated when she passed.

Just as I think I can try to start getting my life back to normal (whatever that means), and start making money again another tragedy strikes, December 26th 2009 our oldest son and his wife were in an automobile accident, they were hit by a hit and run driver who was never caught.

My daughter-in-law was 33 weeks pregnant, the accident paralyzed her, my granddaughter was born on Dec 27th and spent 17 days in the neonatal unit, my husband and I had to bring the baby home with us from the hospital because our son couldn't be at the hospital helping his wife deal with what she was going through and take care of the baby to, we had her here with us until April.

After they left I went into a very bad depression, I just couldn't function at all. As a result my online business quietly quit making any money, I do keep up with my hosting so at least some of my sites are still online and I have made around $300.00 this year "woo hoo" but that's it.

With everything that's been going on in the last few years my wonderful husband has quietly kept the bills paid as best he could without much income from my end, knowing the one year anniversary of my mother's death is coming up and worrying how it will affect me, he didn't want to tell me but he didn't have a choice to finally tell me our house is going into foreclosure and we owe $3600.00 in back house payments.

Now it's time for me to stop feeling sorry for myself and try to find a way to keep our home.

So now I finally get to my questions, since I haven't done any online marketing in a couple of years, (and we all know what that means in Internet years) what would be the quickest way to make $3500.00 - $4000.00? I know I'm a little rusty, but I know how to build affiliate sites and even know how to build them with wordpress.

Other than advertising with adwords which is probably way out of my league these days, what is the quickest way to get money coming in?

I'm a fast learner so any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You for reading!

Amanda Bruenger

Amanda ... don't take this as an insult, but if you go in and edit that post and break it up into paragraphs, people might read it. As it is now, it's practically unreadable.

Hi Amanda - my heart goes out to you - I came online just a few years before you (1997) - and I know of Jim Daniels etc. well

I'm going to send you a PM with some "quick cash" thoughts I have for you - but one thing you may want to know before you go head first:

while you "can" do CPA, article ("bum") marketing, etc. to earn money - you need it fast and you need it in your bank account NOW.

Most of those things take at least a month to pay out. (Or more).

Because you have minimal posts, you probably won't be able to reply to my PM, but I'll include my personal email as well. Just so you watch for it

    Hey There,

Sad to see that you've been gone from IM So long. Some ways include CPA, Affiliate, and so many different things -- there's a section of WF called "the war room", $37 for life or something, and it has a lot of stuff for you to catch-up.

A great wall of text, but, oddly I read most of it without skimming too greatly. If you still have a few bucks the fastest way would probably be CPA, or, buying and selling websites. Maybe you could outsource the task.

      JMCCB,

It was difficult to read, but I read every word of your post, and my heart goes out to you.

If you still have sites up, get them monetized to the hilt, drive a sh*tload of traffic to them with article marketing, social bookmarking, and put them up for sale on Flippa.

If they are older sites with decent PR, backlinks, traffic and income, you should be able to come up with $4K by selling just one or two of them.
I see that you have only 1 post, so you can't PM, but if you want, you can email me at schaeffer.danielle74@gmail.com or Skype me 'danielleschaeffer' and I can help you.

      Hi Amanda,

The best way I've found to do my marketing is through semi automated tools that do most of the grunt work for you. I also like video sites. I've made my own video site with a compilation of the latest and greatest tools.
      Its at 6secrets.com
Please let me know what you think.

      Cheers,

      Hi Amanda

Sounds as though the last few years have been really rough for you, my heart goes out to you. Make sure you are looking after yourself too.

I don't think it would take you long to be back up and running, as you have done it before and have such a good knowledge base. I think that DanielleS idea of selling some sites was a good one, good established sites tend to go for more than new sites.

      All the very best.

i agree with the posts here. If you have sites that are well established, and making some income and getting visitors, you should be able to see a very nice price on some of the marketplaces. also if you know how to do some basic things you're better off than alot of people. I agree offer a service that you can offer for a great price, and concentrate on turning every customer into a long term one. Surely then you can come up with the cash I wish you the very best of luck

Yep - I emailed her with some suggestions.

Perhaps if Amanda does a WSO, several of us could buy to help her out?

Helping each other is what its about

    I feel for you Amanda,

I went through almost the same thing around the same time with my Mother.

I have a very good feeling that you are going to save that house. I'm known for having pretty correct "gut feelings," so I hope my gut is not failing me this time.

In times past I've always suggested selling offline for quick money, however times have changed. Not for selling off line but for me. I really have seen that there are other ways to raise money fast.

First of all get a product together FAST. Then another, and another and another. You need about 20 products of your own to sell in the WSO forum. My "for real" suggestion and this is only a suggestion based on my opinion is forget about the Warrior Classified add section, the Warrior for hire and any or other section. Concentrate on the WSO section.

20 products might seem hard to do but it's only a goal, start with one get it up there in the WSO section, then produce another then another etc. Money will start rolling in. You might make the $4k before you reach 20 products, however I don't want you to stop making new products until you reach $4k.

Here are some suggestions for products and or services you can offer as WSOs

PLR on caring for Alzheimer's patients. PLR on caring for stroke patients. Write eBooks on the same subjects and sell those.

OK, you need to be a member of the WarRoom to do WSOs.

For one time and one time only offer a service, Article Writing would be good, judging on your OP you can write well enough to write articles for others. Other services you can offer are setting up blogs/affiliate sites etc. Keep this offer LIMITED. The only purpose for these services is to get money for immediate needs including the WAR ROOM.

Now, in an entirely different post and thread where you help others or ask questions, put your offers in your sig file. (Although I really don't think it will matter in your case you don't ever want to present a problem or "great suggestion," and have it directly related to your sig. This frowned on here. In your emergency situation an exception might be made, but, why chance it?)

I can't guarantee you will raise $4k however I can guarantee if you don't take action you will not raise $4k.

What I will guarantee is that if you do what I said RE: Offer a service and advertise it in your sig. You will raise a quick $100 or so to get into the WarRoom etc.

I have a lot more to say but will save it for when I see your service/product for sale in your Sig.

I've been in personal contact with Warriors Who have raised $1k or more almost overnight with quality WSO products. There is no reason why you can't do this.

    My best to you.

P.S. If saving your house is VERY Important to you, get proactive with the bank. Talk to them, promise them the moon for extensions etc. but don't let this distract you from raising the $4k. Bankruptcy procedures, I hear, will stop foreclosure, however for this you need a Lawyer. As I said above, $4k is SO doable in the WSO section get started on that right away.

You have definitely given me alot to think about, I never considered writing articles or reports, for myself or anyone else for that matter, my head is spinning with ideas after reading your post, I need to write it all down while it's still fresh in my mind, I started working on something offline yesterday and most of the night last night, then the phone calls and emails started coming in soon after I posted this message this morning. What I'm doing certainly wont make me rich or even make alot of money, but it is going to help get my Internet Business back up and running.
I'm already ahead of you about the WarRoom, I've already made the money to join,
      so I'll see you there!
And I just wanted to say thank you so much for the encouragement!

There are some great suggestions above. You can find even more ideas here:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...desperate.html

You're one step ahead of most folks in that you're starting with marketable skills -- and you've made money online before -- so I know you can do this. Right now you're probably feeling more overwhelmed than anything. Take a deep breath, pick a way to make money, and get started.

    I wish you luck.
