I would suggest a membership website. They are great for recurring payments. Was there a specific niche you were looking at?

  $100 a month isnt a great target - Try to aim higher and you will soon find yourself smashing the $100 a month target.

  A: Provide $200 worth of value
  
  Do you have something specific in mind that you want to do?
  
  Run a membership site of some sort?
  Provide offline consulting services?
  Offer technical services?
  etc...
  
  There are lots of ways you can get a business to pay you $100 a month, but it will depend on what you want to do and how much time you can put into it.
  
  A lot of people equate "residual" with "no work" so it depends on what you mean by residual income. If you want something that comes in whether you work or not, that's more difficult than if you want consistent income but are willing to put in the time to earn it every month.

  Sorry, the only way I know how to get just $100 monthly would be to stop affiliate marketing to ongoing payment sites after getting 2 to 3 referrals.

  100 $ monthly income is very easy to achieve. It is just 3,33 $ per day. You could launch a few Adsense niche sites, give them some backlinks and voilà... If you start now, you will reach this goal within 4 weeks.

I would suggest that you create your product , add your membership program and team up with people who can get you more traffic to your membership website
