Yearly continuity vs lifetime membership? Chargebacks? Need expert opinions

I hope I can get some expert feedback on this. I'm launching a membership site soon. Price will be $30 through Clickbank. Other sites in my niche have done LifeTime membership for that price. I'm leaning towards lifetime, but still thinking of alternatives.

Monthly billing won't work for this niche (they'll DL everything and leave). Yearly billing is possible, but I've heard there may be risks of chargebacks due to people forgetting. Yearly could work if I notify them in due time, and time release a lot of content near the end, and the low $30 is still a great value to stick around.

But the good thing about lifetime memberships is that I'd rarely need to update the site, and they'll stay on my list forever. List building is very important. I can easily crosssell them to a multitude of my other sites and affiliate products for years to come.

I was getting ready to give my opinion here based on my own experience and based on the Writings of Allen Says. Then I read your post's paragraph 3 and you said everything I was going to say.

Interesting reading the last paragraph, in my opinion that is the way to go. Everyone keeps talking about the "the value in the list" so why not go this route.
