Two weeks ago I had some moderate success with RSS marketing. My feed at Feedage was showing up high in the search engines (Google - page 1). Last week it completely disappeared from Google and since then I can't seem to get any feeds ranking in Google anymore (tried some other keywords with low competition). Did anyone notice the same thing? |

Can't say that I've noticed this. Yet. I still find RSS feeds an effective way to push traffic to a website. However, there is such a resurgence of attention of the use of RSS feeds, that Google may take or be taking steps to "neutralize" their position in the serps. One other thing I'll mention, is that I monitor pretty closely the position of my pages in the serps as well as feed pages, and have personally noticed that there seems to be a lot of change. Sometimes they do completely disappear. Mind you, my observations are just my anecdotal observations and may not be valid at all in terms of drawing general conclusions about feed pages.

Thanks for your answer. Could be that my keywords were badly chosen (although they had very low competition). I'll try some more and keep everyone updated. |
