Forum Marketing just one of many good starting places for NEWBIES
Are you a newbie in the IM world? There are many paths one can take when starting out in IM and one thing you may want to try is forum marketing as it is something I did about nine months ago starting out and had some success with it.
Forum marketing is probably not going to make you an income to quit your day job but it can provide for a tiddy "hobby" income if you stick with it. What I did is simply go Clickbank and find a quality product or two with high gravity in a high target niche (I went with weight lose as it's a buying community), I then spent some time establishing myself in three different high traffic forums. Once I had enough posts as per the rules of each forum I starting putting a link to my Clickbank products in my signature. People did start buying from those links and I was able to make a little money on the side plus help a few people along the way.
I believe the two keys to forum marketing success is; 1) To remember that forums are communities and you as a member need to gain credibility by offereing sound advice. And 2) Find quality products which you believe in and which you feel comfortable selling.
One thing I didn't do but maybe I should have is to have had some type of website or free report link in my signature in order to build a list. Forums can be very effective for this purpose.
As I said this is only one of many many ways one can break into the IM world and a book could probably be written on the details of this type of IM but I thought I would at the very least throw out one method that can work. It worked for me and got me started so it might work for you if you put the time into it. All the best in your IM ventures
