No sympathy just some help please?..

Hi,

I can't find a place to introduce myself and although I joined wf almost 2 years ago, I just recently seem to be keeping this window or tab open constantly.

I originally joined as a result of some report saying join all the forums and create a sig. etc. to get links or whatever. Obviously, I never did feel comfortable with that as I have been a member for 2 years and don't have a sig. per se.

Anyway, my question is... where do I start? who do I listen to hear as everyone sounds great but I have been doing online marketing or learning for over 6 years now and while I have had some success with things like google sniper and auto content cash, I have yet to make any real money and have (as everyone else most likely) spent WAAAAy more than I have made.

I was going pretty good with the auto content. My first site was on page 2 in 2 days so I dove ? into what I thought was an ocean and it was only a shallow pool after google may day.

Any suggestions? Does anyone really make enough money to quit their job.
Not that it matters because (why I said no sympathy) I was making enough money as a waitress to buy everything, get nowhere and keep hoping until recently when I tripped over a mini trampoline, tore my rotator cuff in my shoulder and lost my job and the ability to do that job for a long long time.

Sorry, I know I am long winded, makes for good article writing though hahah.

Any comments (prefer nothing too negative but..) will be appreciated.

Thanks to anyone who does give a ....,
Kim

    Hi Kim,

Welcome to the Warrior Forum (officially).

Yes, trying to figure out who to listen to can be bewildering. As much as I would like to mention specific names, I will resist that temptation.

The best advice I can give is to just read a lot of posts and get a feel for who knows their stuff and who's blowing smoke. Over time, you should be able to get a pretty good idea.

You may want to look at how long a person has been a member and how many times they have been thanked, and the number of threads they have been thanked for. It's not foolproof, but should point you in the right direction.

As far as whether or not it's possible to quit your job by working online, the answer is "absolutely!" I used to work in factories, running machines and being bored out of my mind, yet I spent some of the free time I had each day and was able to leave my job for good a few years ago.

There are many different ways to do it, but some ways will fit you better than others.

What do you like to do?

    What skills do you have?

    Are you a "people person"?

What don't you like to do?

Answering those questions will help determine the money making methods that are better for you.

Finally, I will let you in on what I consider one of the secrets to doing well...

      Hi Kimberly,

Glad you posted. I purchased the Auto Content Cash course and I have to say this is an excellent way to make money online.

Brian's course of action is to build lots of sites. How many sites have you built? Set a goal of making 20 niche sites a month. You have a course that will generate you money if you apply it. One of the worst things you can do is to get distracted. Stay focused on building niche sites. I know it can get boring, but you'll be glad that you did the grunt work.

Websites come and go. One day you can have websites making you $3 a day and another day that website can tank. Now imagine if you had 100 websites that were making you $3 a day? Some may tank and others will stay. With a course such as Auto Content Cash it's a numbers game.

Feel free to email me with any questions...

I jumped in head first as I said and I have over 90 sites built with acc and I do have some on page one still but they don't get traffic or make money. I had to work hard (not really) to get my first site that was on page 2 back up from page like I think 64 to now page one from real content and effort
Thanks for your help though, I have never had a website make anything everyday, I went from $5 a day to .0 - $3 and that is with all 90 sites. acc does not work unless you put real content.

The only time you build Auto Content sites is in niches that aren't too competitive. But Brian also shows you how to build niche websites where you add your own content too. Google has been cracking down on "auto content" type of sites lately.

Stop building auto content sites for now and use Brian's other techniques like he shows in SEO Press Formula. (which should of also came with the course) It works if you apply the methods. I have sites I built 3 years ago that make me $2-$3 a day for years using Brian Johnson's formulas...

Thanks for your help and I do get the watch who's been here and thanked so I really appreciate your reply. I do plan on hanging out from time to time since I have seen some great stuff and I love the wso's which can also be distracting and confusing.

        Hi Kim,

The trick to WSOs is to have an idea of the method you would like to follow, and to only buy WSOs that fit.

However, I have an even better suggestion, IMHO.

Don't buy another WSO (well...there is one exception ) until you join the War Room. It will be the best $37 you'll spend. The same word of caution about WSOs applies to all of the free goodies in the War Room as well.

you made one sale and quit your job?
Nope, that was not what I said... I said my first sale was in 2000, and I quit my job in 2005...

I began learning how to make money in 2000, with some real experience under my belt...

I first left my job in 2002 and worked online exclusively for about 8 months, but then I lost a couple of big customers, and went back to a job...

As a result of my first experience, I did not feel comfortable quitting my job until my online business could consistently deliver more revenue than I was getting from my job, for a period of at least 12 months...

My income started hitting real solid towards the end of 2003, but I did not quit my job until March of 2005...

    Ok here's how you start:

First of find figure out what YOU want to do.

What kind of income are you trying to generate from Internet Marketing?

    Is it active income?

For example, offering services etc. (when you are active so is the income stream when you're not the income follows)

    Or is it passive income?

For example affiliate marketing etc. (when you don't have to keep working to keep making money)

Here's what I think about both:

I know that the idea of passive income sounds awesome and all many salesletters emphasize this in bold headlines (you know the ones like, be free, work 2 hours a day etc.) but with those kinds of income streams is that it's hard to get started and it often takes some capital to see good results (not saying it can't be done for free).

For example, if you are trying to make money as an affiliate (you receive a commission per sale) and you plan on writing articles to generate traffic to your affiliate link. That is a great business model and it can be hands-off(once your old articles get picked up by search engines, you can concentrate on other stuff while they make you money) but it takes alot of time and effort to get started making sales. Same goes for a review type website.

Active Income on the other is quick money. You do something and you are guaranteed to get paid for it. You don't wait a lot of time before you start seeing a decent income. For example, you know how to research and write a keyword optimized article and you offer that service. You charge $3-5 per article and you get a couple of orders. You finish the work and upon delivery you get paid straight to your paypal or any other account.

This way you can get funds you need to concentrate on other passive income streams.

    Now here's my recommendation:

You should start with offering a service and once you have enough capital built up, you can start working with affiliate marketing, product creation etc.

Some examples of services you can offer are: Article Writing, Video Creation, Banner Design, Wordpress theme design, ecover design, squidoo lens creation etc.

Alternatively you can start with Fiverr.com You will get paid $4 for every gig you complete and in some time you will have enough capital to move on to affiliate marketing and other stuff.

    Hope this helps

EDIT: Have a look right here:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...desperate.html

This thread will help you get started.

EDIT: One more thing, whatever you do just don't forgot to stay at it.

Jumping for one project to another will not help you.

    Hi Kim,
I'm glad I got here when I did.

Never ever listen to someone named Michael. Ummm, Well, I mean that other Michael.
    just kidding!

Michael gave you some good pointers and now you need to take some time to figure
out what you are willing to do to earn a living online. Some say to go with your
passions and others say go were the Money is.

Both can be profitable if they are positioned right.

You need to choose what you want to do and then draw a straight line to the end
result. What ever you do, don't waver from the end result until it proves itself right or wrong.

What I'm trying to say is to stick with one thing before trying another. Don't go from
one project to another until you've proven it to be a winner or looser. Then take the
knowledge and apply it to your next project.

Remember, Quitters never win and Winners never quit!

Just to be clear, I am not bashing acc, I just saw my income go from after 2 years of no adsense to my first check in one month and then another one and then dropped so I will still get some money every 2-3 months and I made a few dollars from amazon.

Also, thank you again Michael... I will look into what you suggest but at the moment my unemployment at $64 a week which is a far cry from my JOB will not allow for any wso's or anything, Still I seriously do appreciate your help and response.

The problem that I had when I first started out was I was distracted by the newest products to make money online. If I would of stuck to what I was taught in the beginning (which was actually Brian's Revenue Domains Exposed and SEO Press Formula) I would of saved a lot of time and money. Plus I would of made a lot more money too.

Keep working on those 90 sites and you will eventually see success...

Hi Kim, the four biggest keys to making lots of money online:

    1. Focus
    2. Consistency
    3. Persistency
    4. ACTION

Find something and run with it. In IM, it's really easy to get side tracked because of all the shiny objects everywhere. Focus on one thing, don't give up, do it every day and you should be successful. If you look at the guys making tons of money, they picked one thing and ran with it.

if you read my answers yes I have made my first $100 after 2 years from adsense using the acc and even some amazon sales $20 or so for 2 months til google dropped me, so while I have made a commitment to never ever quit I just need some help as to where to go from here. Getting started is the hardest part. Many of us know the awful feeling of buying stuff and not using it, listening to gurus who seemingly contradict one another, and other unproductive stuff.

I agree with the theme the others have said before me. Find what you like and do it. Of course, it has to be profitable, but nearly everything can be monetized with the right twists and thoughts.

Pick one or two IM folk and read, follow, and DO what they say and do. Seriously, find a model that works and try to replicate it, injecting your personality into it when you can.

No need to recreate the wheel. Maybe just make it better.

      Kimberly,

Starting to leave that tab open to the forum is a great way to start. Not only can you learn an absolute ton right here for free, you also have the opportunity to make new friends and network with some darn smart business people.

Looking at what you've said in your posts, I would focus on the assets that you already have built - namely the 90 or so sites you have now. Here is what I would do, step by step:

Go through them and choose the top 5 based on how much organic search you are getting.

Now start adding good unique content to those 5 sites only.

Once these unique articles are indexed in Google, turn around and submit them to EZA with a link back to your home page in the resource box.

As they get published in EZA, then take that SAME article, re-title it and submit it to 4-5 other directories. With most other directories, you can start linking to other pages on your site (not the home page, if they allow it). Just don't link to the same article, of course - that would be silly.

As you follow these steps, you should start seeing your sites move up in the search engines, thus getting more natural searches. Plus you should see some traffic from the directories. And if these articles are well done, you could see them being syndicated across other websites, getting you even more backlinks and direct traffic.

Focus on getting those five sites making at least a couple bucks per day. If you have a great keyword, shoot for a higher daily average. But stick to those five until they are earning a steady amount.

Then take the next five of your old sites and do the same thing with them. Once you have 10 or 15 sites all earning something every day, take the bottom 3-5 performers and sell them. Use this for income but also put some money aside to have new content written for you.

By the time you are finished, you may end up selling half the sites but you'll have a steady income from the remainder.

        Thanks Tina,

I haven't looked at this post in a while, like it's been so long but stuff just always keeps happening (as in life because I am a real person) but really, I have had this thought for a while now but keep getting distracted. I opened up several wp admin sites ( I have them seperated in categories but some are too many) and that was my plan.... guess what I did? nada.. I had planned to do some seo on each for that day but did not.

Now that I have seen your post I am encouraged to do what I already know I should... Thank you because I love to have someone tell me to do what I already believe.... it just makes it easier to know that it is what I should do

Kimberly, you added a profile pic but not an avatar. You need to add an avatar to be seen on your posts, if you want.

I would like to suggest to you a great Warrior Forum thread that is a fantastic plan of action for someone like yourself to take. Best of all, the advice is free. I think it's something you can certainly follow and I have bookmarked the thread it's so good.

    Here you go:
