Is there any FREE step by step videos that teaches about Social Bookmarking?

After a long time, i've decided to try social booking marketing but it got me very confused.

To my understanding, bookmarking is basically to create more backlinks to your site and this helps to increase your site's authority. I went to socialmarker and socialposter as recommended by friends. I saw alot of checkbox with a tick, propeller, digg, de.li.cious etc etc. So here is my question. How does it actually work?

Do i need to create an account on each of them? (There's like hundreds of websites :O)

Is it free to use them? Like just click on one button and your link is sent to all websites.

Is there any free step by step video that explain bookmarking more in depth?

    you dont need any step by step video to learn how to bookmark. even my 11 year old nephew can bookmark a site! al you do is setup accounts on each bookmarking sites and submit your story, thats all
