Hi...

This morning when I woke up, I realized that all of internal my links on my websites were going to 404 pages...

Am I the only experiencing this right now or is there something wrong with hostgator's servers?

      Same thing happenned to me but I got an email from them before I'd seen it. Took them about 2 hours and it was all fixed. Definately contact them if they haven't got hold of you.

    try this ... on a windows machine click on "Start" and get the command prompt

    in the box type (excl the ") nslookup your domain

    it should return some information
    ==========================================
    Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
    (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
    P:\>nslookup yourdomain
    Server: Address: server ip
    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: yourdomain
    Address: server ip
    Aliases: yourdomain

    this means that the internet sees your domain name. if it doesnt thats a good start to finding out why you have 404 errors

    if you paste the results for your domain in a pm to me i can find out more if you need help

    I have a couple of spam sites I let anyone post to including automatic content posters. But I was using UAW's auto content poster for a little while while doing a product review and it was sending so many articles at a time it was hogging all of my servers process's which in turn gave me 404's. My solution was to limit the posts to less than 1k per day and since then I haven't seemed to have any problems.

    Just to add in my two cents because I think I have been with hostgator for 5 years if not more and haven't experienced problems like Richard or Moonfish. So this just may be another possibility
