I tend to prefer the ones that share revenue with users. (There are a few of those listed there, however, there are also a few listed that share revenue, but aren't transparent about it)

      Revenue sharing :confused:confused: I think isnare.com, selfgrowth.com/articles.html, ideamarketers.com or searchwarp.com are in that position
      [if i may be right]

But my own intention should be the best ones that will pull in traffic to my site through my articles. I should earn more revenue from my site than they.

        You may be wrong...

Revenue Sharing means that they split their adsense revenue with the author...

Isnare and IdeaMarketers definitely do not fall into that category... I don't believe the other two do either...

Also be aware that while web-source.net may have articles on it, it is NOT an article directory... It is a newsletter that publishes articles...

That's what i mean by not being sure of the revenue sites mentioned.

can you list some few of them here for those that may need them?

I don't keep track of article directories per se, since I rarely use them...

      jon,

I don't mean to hammer your post here, but, just saying that a directory is "good" isn't sufficient...especially in a dynamic and ever changing industry.

Many here use Ezine Articles, and there isn't a doubt in my mind that they have great authority that has been beneficial to people's businesses.

For one's own good, it really does pay to do an in depth analysis of a site's TOS....what they allow and what they don't allow...as well as, the quality control measures they implement AND, the degree of transparency and responsiveness of ownership.

I can name one particular site where writers invested months upon months supplying the site with content, and months in advance, articles were "swept" with very little feedback given to the original authors. On top of that, their TOS allowed for the complete replication of content to a sister site (allegedly, not situated in the U.S.), where they SEO'd those articles to the point where they outranked the original writers articles (and didn't share any of that revenue with users). Whether they would have legal legs to stand on, I'm not sure....but, their TOS DID make this type of scam a possibility.

Associated Content shares its revenue. It's not a ton of money, though. However, you can apply for a flat fee up front (when you submit your article), in addition to the revenue sharing. If their editors think your article is worth it, they'll offer you some money and pay you within a couple of days. Again, it's not alot. I've gotten offers of $3 or $4 from them. From what I heard, they've gotten much cheaper over the past few years, so don't count on them for steady income.

As for your list of article directories, it's a very handy resource to have. My suggestion is to submit to the top 10 or so, and see which ones you like the best. The success of each article directory can vary from writer to writer, so it's all about what works best for you.

Personally, I like article directories that include an author bio page because I can put my link in my profile, and it counts as its own separate link. I also only use article directories that let me track my stats; that way, I know which topics are generating alot of views, and which ones aren't. Also, I like directories that can get my content up on the site quickly. I've seen some that take weeks or months to approve articles, and to me, that's just unacceptable.
