First paying offline client WOOT !

Hi all,

Just came back from a meeting with a web design agency...I have been subcontracted to manage and set up a ppc campaign for one of their client .
250 pounds (390 dollars) set up + 50 Pounds a month for three month (78 dollars) to manage it....they will be spending around 400 dollars a month on ad words.

Pretty excited and apprehensive as well, I want to do a fantastic job for them.

They have about 250 clients on their book, I am also working on an organic SEO project in order to prove myself there...So...lots of potential as well.

wish me luck....

the (many) WSO I have bought over the last 18 months as well as your many free and selfish post have all contributed to my first successes in IM, I am very grateful and will endeavour to share my successes and help others on their way when appropriate.

I was thinking of sharing my failures as well but I don't think the WF would be able to cope with the increased posting

THAT IS AWESOME!!!!! congrats to you. i have similar experience going on on one of the services i offer. I was contacted to try my service becuase my prices were better than their current supplier. i haven't signed a contract yet, but am almost done with their trial right on schedule. once that's done they have agreed to foward orders in increasing numbers on retainer as i take care o fthem, payment in advance

nothing in the world like getting a deal like that. No worries about marketing or advertsing, just focussing on doing your job and over delivering

    i wish you the best!!!

Congrats TPF .... make sure you ALWAYS KNOW WHERE YOU ARE TALKING YOUR CLIENT THOUGH. Its great that you got for your first deal...but start thinking where you are going to take your client 2-4 months down the road.

Prepare your scripts and overall pitch where it becomes a seamless pitch. This is where the art of becoming a marketing consultant comes in. It seeing the big picture and laying out dance plan for the future.

    Congrats again,

Wouldnt you love to be the owner of that company who has 250 offline clients paying him/her every month? It's really a very reasonable goal.

Congrats on SLAMMIN your deal today!!!!

You mentioned something that might not get noticed by many a struggling offline marketer... Contacting Web Designers

It's been my experience that 90% do little to No SEO to the sites they make. Unbelievable but sooooo TRUE.

So I contact them an offer SEO to help boost the sites they make. More often than not they initially scoff at SEO. (Hard to believe, I know)

    So try it.

You are absolutely right...this particular owner is also a neighbour just a few doors from me...and indeed SEO is not his focus...But oh boy can he buid stuff with .net ...CMS and what have you ...designing and coding are his worlds !

offering you services for free to prove yourself is worth a shot...having and building a relationship prior to doing business could give you the edge...people like doing business with people they know...
