Are you playing in the B2B niches/markets?

Hello Warriors,

Just wanted to know if anyone is into the B2B niches/markets? Offering services on the web can be considered B2B, but that's not the category we're looking at here.

Let's talk about B2B products (your own or affiliate sites - again not eBooks, but physical products) or business networking or SaaS (Software as a Service) sites. Membership sites (not in the IM niche) are welcome to be discussed.

How do you monetise such sites? CPA or AdSense or direct affiliate programs from the product owners?

Have you flipped such sites? or seen any big sales of such sites?

Thanks for any views on these questions, in advance

I am almost exclusively in the B2B market and have been for many years as a service provider, consultant, coach, and product developer. I am in the process of shifting my consulting practive to including more info products as a marketing and sales funnel for higher end consulting contracts.

I don't flip sites so I can't comment on that specifically.

I have often wondered about B2B as an IM person, but really don't know whether there is any realistic market in it. In fact, being in India, I had dinner 10 minutes back and this was a major part of my thought during today's dinner !!

So if you guys have experience / literature that you can share, it would be a very nice read for me and maybe for many more of us who have had similar thoughts.

The business world's general view of internet marketing is extremely dim. In fact, it's really awful. They see internet marketing as scammers. Doubt me? Try dialing for SEO services dollars like the typical SEO marketing retards that call the average business owner 16 times a day with the same crap.

There's zero market for wannabe, drive-by sales spectaculars like what we see in the typical realm of affiliate marketing.

If you get bigger than a tiny mom & pop operation, B2B isn't really driven by emotional sales triggers - and the typical direct marketing stuff goes down in flames. That doesn't mean there aren't emotional opportunities, but most purchase decisions are made by a committee because in business of any size, acquisitions generally involve multiple affected stakeholders.

It's far more sophisticated than the average kid sitting around trying to sell crap off of Clickbank.

It's so hilarious for me to read the Warrior Forum from time to time because in the past, discussions about offline business involved so many people who expressed how stupid business owners are, how they know more than corporate goofbags that don't know how to market.

It's such a hoot to read this kind of garbage from people who think the pinnacle of marketing success is infomercial pitchmen from the 80s vs. giant corporations that actually write the rules of the marketing game. How do you think multinational corporations got so large? Being idiots about marketing?

So, here I was doing a Google search on "B2B niche websites and AdSense" and this thread comes up. I think it deserves a bump. The thread is old alright, but the question(s) is/are still open.

Anyone here making bank with AdSense on websites having B2B articles?
